“Yoga helps everything.”

Okay… maybe not everything.

But energy?
Fitness?
Concentration?
Creativity?
Digestion & bowel issues?
Body awareness?
Interoception (actually hearing what your body is trying to tell you)?
Hormonal balance?
Core strength?
Flexibility?
Mindset?
Stress?
Sleep?
Weight regulation?
Even hair loss… when stress is part of the picture.

No — yoga isn’t magic.

But when you move more, breathe better, regulate your nervous system, improve awareness and reduce stress… lots of things tend to improve.

Turns out lying on the floor breathing and moving strangely for years was onto something 🧘‍♂️

What has yoga helped you with most? For me it’s reconnecting to creativity and intuition.

Most people try to fight overwhelm by thinking harder.

But when your nervous system is overloaded…
more thinking usually creates more noise.

What helps is having simple reminders that bring you back to centre.

A few grounded thoughts.
A different perspective.
Something that interrupts the old pattern.

Because under stress, the brain defaults to what’s familiar.

New patterns need repetition.

Not force.
Not perfection.
Just repetition.

Most people idealise confidence.

Like the goal is to become someone who never doubts themselves.

But real life is much more nuanced than that.

Life changes.
You change.
And the version of you that got here may not be the version that takes you where you’re going next.

So sometimes losing confidence isn’t failure.

It’s transition.

It’s growth.
It’s entering unfamiliar territory.
It’s becoming someone new.

You do not need to feel confident all the time to move forward.

You just need the willingness to keep going anyway.

Something ambitious people forget when life feels heavy…

is play.

When you’re constantly focused on goals, productivity, and the next thing…
life can start to feel like one long performance review.

But play changes your state.

It softens the nervous system.
Brings lightness back into the body.
Makes you more creative, present, and resourceful.

Sometimes the medicine isn’t another strategy.

Sometimes it’s throwing a tea bag into a mug from across the kitchen.

One small moment can reveal a lot about how we move through life.

A while ago, I caught myself lying about something completely unnecessary.

Not because it mattered.
But because part of me was afraid of being judged.

And it reminded me how deeply these patterns shape us.

The fear of not being enough.
The need to appear better.
The pressure to be seen a certain way.

These things don’t just affect confidence.

They affect our health.

Some of the most successful people I’ve met were deeply stressed underneath it all.

Great CVs don’t always equal emotional maturity.

That’s why the people I work with now are committed to more than success.
They’re committed to self-awareness and growth.

Because your inner state impacts everyone around you.

Stress isn’t just mental.
It’s physiological.

Two inhales through the nose.
One long slow exhale.

That simple pattern tells your nervous system it’s safe again.

Use it before your next meeting or stressful moment.

Save this for later and follow for more.

For years, I thought stress was the problem.

But eventually I realised the real question wasn’t:
“How do I get rid of stress?”

It was:
“Why does my nervous system keep ending up here?”

That changed everything.

A few things I discovered on that journey:

1. I was living out of alignment with my values.
2. I was taking responsibility for other people’s emotional states.
3. I was treating everything like it was urgent.

Most stress patterns aren’t random.
They’re conditioned.

And when you understand your triggers, you stop reacting to life in the same way.

You get back clarity. Energy. Presence.

Follow for more.

Here’s a caption version that matches the tone and structure of the script:

Most people don’t stop living when they get old.
They stop living when they stop growing.

I see this all the time with high performers.

From the outside, life looks successful.
But underneath there’s stress, autopilot, and disconnection.

You’re functioning… but you don’t feel fully alive anymore.

Your life isn’t meant to be something you just survive.
It’s meant to be experienced.

Morning: monk
Evening: menace

Somewhere in a castle with good people.

10/10 would recommend balance. Something I continue to refine.

Happy Birthday
