The Taps 30 bike ride

We were delighted to meet up with The Taps 30 bike ride organiser Danny Kirkman recently, to present a cheque of the funds raised from the ride - a wonderful £3,510.24! 🙌🥰

Last month's 28th annual bike ride also raised a further £2,500 for Lytham youth engagement charity Live like Ralph and another £1,000 for anti-poverty charity Feeding Dreams Cambodia.

The triple donation is one of the highest ever achieved by the charity cycle, which saw a peloton of 108 riders set out from the Taps pub on Henry Street, Lytham, to ride either a 15 or 30 mile route through surrounding countryside.

Danny, proprietor of Ansdell hair salon Salvation Hairdressing, who was among the cyclists to complete the 30 mile route, said: “We are obviously delighted by the funds raised by this year’s ride and what they mean in terms of the support we’re able to give to three very worthwhile causes.

“We had a good turnout of cyclists and some fabulous sponsors, which made all the difference and to which we are very grateful.”
