The power of performance Dance offers older people many physical and social benefits, but performing to an audience makes the greatest impact on wellbeing, believes Jemma Bicknell.

Hello lovely dancers. We are scheduling some extra practice sessions on a Saturday - they only cost £5 towards venue hire and it is an opportunity to play with props, run through routines, practice what you've learnt in class or even run through your favourite bellydance DVDs. Sessions will only run if there is enough interest so don't be late booking your slot. First scheduled sessions are 10.30am Saturday 12th March and same time Saturday 26th March.

Just a reminder that next week is half term and all my dance lessons have a break that week. The second half of term starts again on the 22nd February with some yoga for dancers and then the usual bellydance lessons in Windsor Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

Dance Studio 1 at Heidi Rhodes Dance Studio, Ascot House, Fairacres Industrial Estate, Windsor SL4 4LE.

Tuesday 7.30pm – 8.30pm Beginners II
Dance Studio 1 at Heidi Rhodes Dance Studio, Ascot House, Fairacres Industrial Estate, Windsor SL4 4LE. This class is suitable for returning students and those with some experience or a background in other forms of dance.

Wednesday 10.00am – 11.15am Beginners class
Yoga for Harmony, 143 Arthur Road, Windsor, SL4 1RU. New Beginners class starting 13th January, running year round. Drop ins are welcome. Details at http://shimmies.co.uk/classes/

Monday 7.00pm – 8.00pm Open level class

The new class schedule as of January will be: complete beginners Tuesday 7.30pm at Heidi Rhodes in Windsor, Beginners II Tuesday 8.30pm at Heidi Rhodes and Yoga for bellydancers Monday 7.00pm in the dance studio at Windsor Youth & Community Centre.
