🇨🇱 CHILE 🇨🇱

Thanks to Federación Chilena De Canotaje Polinésico for a quick insight into Va’a in Chile

🌊Chile has an incredible amount of sea. Chile has a sea in every region, so the sea is in our cells. Even though our sea is extremely cold, it doesn't matter to us!

💪🏽 Right now, in Chile there are 13 clubs and 300 paddlers approx.

💙 Chile first attended the World Sprints in Tahiti 2018 with 10 paddlers. This year at the Great Britain IVF Va'a World Sprints 2022 the Chile delegation will be 68 paddlers 🔥

📣 To our International Va’a community….Va’a is a sport based on friendship and union with nature. Let's try to keep that spirit and grow our sport

Haven't had a response from messenger so thought I'd post up and see if anyone knows if there are group accommodation options available ie university, school etc all the rentals that are reasonably priced have been snapped up.

Can someone on the committee offer some options

What mystery is hidden wonder in the Bermuda Triangle? Why is permanently increased static electricity? Because the bodies of ships and aircraft do not obey their rulers?

A Greek Merchant Marine radio operator, Mr. Polycarp Spentzas lived a shocking experience aboard «POTHITI SWJC» in November 1978 in the area of the enigmatic Bermuda Triangle.

According to Mr. Spentzas, in the area of the Bermuda Triangle is permanently increased static electricity and simultaneously displayed gravitational expansion of spacetime. When displayed on the unidentified region Flying or Underwater Objects, time acquires slowness and gives the feeling that flows extremely slowly, while sailors have the illusion that quickly flows, based on indications of the instruments, compasses and clocks, which seem to turn quickly!
The radio operator of the Merchant Navy, Mr Polycarp Spentzas in November 1978
The radio operator of the Merchant Navy, Mr Polycarp Spentzas in November 1978

Paradoxically, this phenomenon is due, in the words of the principal Polycarpos Spentzas, the driving force of unidentified flying but underwater objects, which develops around it, and is decreasing with distance (Force Plantier, the name of French soldier first described its characteristics).

Behold how the thread unwinds its unique history:

We started from Porto Matanzas, Cuba, bound for Algiers, with average velocity of 11 miles. Shortly before 12 noon (local time), the officers of the ship Bridge looked alafiasmenoi. They counted and xanametrousan miles.

The fact that all the crew had noticed that the vessel was sailing with unusually high speed, but the institutions do not agree with this, as it showed a constant speed of 10 to 11 nautical miles. Some of my colleagues initially hypothesized maybe I made a mistake in timer, since I was the radio operator. But it did not happen and the ship tore the waves like a dolphin.

At 12 noon, the captain asked the second officer to put in place, the steering wheel, a Pakistani sailor, as he did not feel well. He could not lift his arms and felt his body too heavy, like a pencil.

Also, MORS signals sounded too quickly, while the coastal stations taken as a tape recorder playing the fast.

Soon arrived upset Bridge ship the electrician from the engine to control the clock, he was noticed that all the clocks of the boat went ahead two whole hours. Also, the route of two to three cents seemed like I spent two hours!

But, the helmsman could not hold a steady course, because the compass, which was gyroscopic and shielded from electromagnetic fields, turning like crazy! So, he had to put the autopilot and we managed to hold on to a sustainable path.

But the strangest of all was a little after 5pm. The cook and I were playing backgammon in the smoking room, when suddenly we saw back and left the ship, ie the northwest side, just a few miles, a big white unidentified flying object in the sky. Then appeared two smaller flying objects in the west of the great and indeed, one of them attached on it. "Experiments of Americans ..." I assumed and not xanaeida.

I left immediately and went to the bridge to ask full of anguish if he had seen someone else these bizarre devices. Not the one had noticed. However, I was sure that something strange was happening with time and how we were affected by the acceleration of the movement of UFOs

I looked at my watch and the time had passed. I put the receiver to 500 KHz, to fill in the calendar and heard too quickly MORS. Put and Time Signal to 15 MHz RWM (Radio Moscow) and heard too quickly and the time signals. So fast that I thought the station's fault.

I can catch another station and mechanically looked at the clock, which found that the Russian station "hit" normally fine. Jumped from his chair, I opened the window of the chart room and saw the Captain. Something like she stopped me and not told him anything. I can knock the MORS and noticed that my hands could not handle or five letters per minute, as it handles cent a minute, because I did about two minutes to go to the chair for the transmitter.

Upset, I told the captain: "Our hands did not go, do not listen to us ..." The Captain replied that nobody should not hurt the autopilot. The next day, the crew was discussing the strange events that have happened to anyone.

A sailor complained that once lit the cigarette, not enough time to smoke, because it burned immediately. The Second Mate, who did shift 00: 00-04: 00, only went to his cabin and was washing his teeth to fall to sleep, cried the sailor that the time went very 23:40, so do not have time nor sleep . All of us, however, we felt bradycardia and hypothermia.

For years now I try to explain this curious fact. I believe that the bradycardia and reduced crew reflexes due to gravitational time dilation. Gravitational waves (varyonia) emitted by the acceleration of UFO for take-off and other moves, biochemical acted in the metabolism of the human body, according to the theories of Bohr - Einstein.

The racing event was outstanding and well run. However, I am extremely disappointed with the lodging arrangements. I was appalled at how it was so poorly managed, and not at all as described when I purchased the package. I stayed somewhere else because the conditions you offered will horrible. I have asked for only
a partial refund, yet do not even get a response back!!!!

International Va'a Federation

22 March 2020 COVID-19_UPDATE _CANCELLATION - 2020 IVF World Sprints - Hilo, Hawaii

Due to global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Va’a Federation (IVF) and Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association (HCRA) have come to the difficult and mutual decision to cancel the 2020 IVF World Elite and Club Sprint Championships scheduled for Hilo, Hawaii, in August 2020.

The IVF World Sprint Championships held every 2 years is a highlight on our international paddling calendar, and the 2020 event already had entries from 21 countries. The decision to cancel was a very difficult one, and we are very disappointed to have to do so. However, it was done taking into consideration (but not limited to) the following:

- The unknown timelines that we are all facing in terms of travel restrictions and the impact of life as we know it;
- The overall health and safety of our global paddling community;
- In particular, our Pacific Island member countries who are less equipped to deal with a health crisis and face unique challenges in their healthcare systems;
- Member countries already heavily impacted by COVID-19;
- The risk to our host; HCRA, the people of Hilo and the State of Hawaii in general.

As an international federation, we have an obligation to ensure the safety of our membership and act in their best interests and in that of the sport of Va’a.

We acknowledge and recognise the amount of work that HCRA and in particular, their local organizing committee, have done in preparation for the August event. In addition, how much they wanted to welcome the global paddling ohana to Hilo Bay. Having done everything possible, they are now faced with impossible circumstances.

In this difficult and uncertain time that we are all facing, it is fortunate to know that our paddling community is strong and it is important that we look out for each other. Please make sure that you are all adhering to your country’s COVID-19 guidelines and practice physical distancing wherever possible.

Should you have any questions, please direct them to [email protected]
