Great session with really enjoying delivering my Race Ready programme with him.
We reflected on lessons from pre-season testing, Round One - Races 1, 2 & 3 Weekend debrief. What went well, what could be improved, opportunities and things to be aware of ahead of the next round.
We also spoke about Chris' circle of control - keeping his time, energy and focus on things within his control and influence rather than the things outside of his control and influence.

Coaching sessions don't have to be done inside, staring at a laptop screen over Zoom or sat opposite each other in a stereotypical therapy set-up.
Getting outside to walk and talk, get some sunshine and vitamin D, even for a short time can change your immediate mood and in the long term, improve cognitive function.
Getting into a different environment to the one that perhaps is associated with stress and overwhelm can feel freeing and spark creativity. We can feel like a different person, better able to manage and overcome our challenges, feel positive, and have clarity and confidence about our next actions
What do you do when life feels a bit overwhelming?
When things just aren't as you want them to be.
There's that pit in the bottom of your stomach, telling you, shouting at you that something needs to change.
But you're not sure what, or maybe you know what but it's the how that's keeping you stuck.

I really enjoy the start of a new coaching relationship. Creating something that fits and moulds around a client's needs to help them realise their potential is exciting.
