We run group exercise classes based at AFC Urmston Meadowside’s Clubhouse
Enjoyed being outside in the glorious Manchester sunshine today! Our members have the benefit of bringing their children to class - some like to join in, others sit and watch, but what’s great to see is the mums being such amazing role models and showing their children that exercise is fun, and a healthy part of life!
Tough workout today, but the team absolutely smashed it! You should feel really proud of yourselves! Not every class is like this, but after completing a block of strength training, it’s really great to finish with a challenge! Awesome to be able to use the outside space - thank you

Sometimes it’s nice to slow things down and check our form to ensure we have got proper mind to muscle control. The sunshine was such a lovely bonus today and really helped us to focus! Loving all the space we have available in our new home at Urmston Meadowside! Can’t wait to use the whole field when it’s less muddy! Great work team x

Lots of things planned at the club this January

Big thank you to Alison for being an amazing part of our team this year.
I’m going to miss my little ray of sunshine in the morning classes now that she has to go back to work after maternity leave!
So proud of the amazing progress she has made. We did a little fitness testing today and the results are outstanding!
- Started at 30kg Deadlift now at 65kg (well over her own bodyweight!)
- Core strength has dramatically improved - when once 30sec’s was a struggle, she can now Plank for 2mins!
- Can Farmers carry 40kg for 2 mins and can Landmine Row an incredible 40kg too!
- Has mastered the Box Jump, can run for distance and her flexibility and overall mobility has vastly improved.
- She has also seen an incredible improvement in the strength and stability in her legs.
She tells me that she has more energy, more patience and made loads of new friends since she and baby Isabella joined back in January.
What i love about Ali is when she sets her mind to something, she puts in her all, she is determined, consistent and gives 100% effort every time. She has been an absolute pleasure to coach and the most uplifting member of the team!
