Slooooow midfield means there's a lot of ground to cover for Baleba, and it often looks like we're basically grooming Yoro to become a RB ?

Pressure on Licha to have a top performance following midweek's outburst (which was accurate), and Rashford off the bench makes sense but leaving Cunha out of the lineup is debatable. Leaving Bruno (presumably) out wide right takes him out of his favored space, and Tielemans has not proven to be a high caliber central player yet.

Hard to feel optomistic until some lineup clicks or a couple of players catch fire... 2-2 ? 🤨

No idea what to make of that backline or why Martinez starts over Maguire, but that front line looks promising so hopefully at least a couple goals flow

Baleba will have to cover a lot of ground to cover for Tielemans and Santos, too.

Weirdly optimistic 3-2 prediction for no real reason other than responding to the noise recently 🤔

Might be time to start looking at strikers in January or next summer if this pattern continues with Sesko - Dorgu hasn't been a consistent factor this season anyway

It's not exaggerating to say if just 1 or 2 of those shots which hit the post fell in instead of bouncing away, this season's conversation would be quite different. This isn't to excuse the overall lack of intensity and pace, but it's worth regarding in the big picture assessment for now.

Let's go, pretty good record against the Cottagers the past couple of seasons but a distinct lack of rhythm this season so far... which wins out ?

Hope everyone's at full fitness at least, and Maguire can likely get that back line really to tighten up (but no silly cards, please) - also time for Cunha and Rashford to get going on the scoresheet

Lot of changes but perhaps not the main one (Amass ?) for which some were hoping ? Certainly exciting to see Lacey and curious (?) to see Darlow in action...

Brighton's been scoring for fun, so let's hope that backline is ready from the 1st minute. Sesko and Rashford could cook on that left side, and playing Heaven and Yoro might be a good (hopefully promising) preview of the future. Any momentum/good showing is welcome...
