British Championship Weekend

Saturday - 24/05/26
Heat 1 - 20th - Pushed into a spin early on so sat on the kerb for 4 laps

Heat 2 - DNF - Tried to be cause a train into turn 3 and spun myself out before being collected, resulting in only right lock

Final - 22nd > 18th - Struggled with brakes for most of the final but managed to keep out of the way and score some lower points

Grand National - 14th - Stuck on the outside line for the back half of the race and tried to stay with the pack

Sunday - 25/05/26
British Championship - DNF - Carburettor came loose with 3 laps to go so lost all power to escaped to safety

Heat 1 - 21st - Brake problems returned so continued to stay out of trouble

Heat 2 - 16th - Brake problems resolved and managed to keep it facing the right direction

Grand National - 17th - Probably my best race of the weekend in terms of driving style, also the fastest by me all weekend, included a few setup changes before that one.

All roads lead to Buxton for Alex and the team ready to try and build on a positive day last time out. With more world wide rebellion qualifying points on offer and the Rebels Racing Pauline Jones Memorial Final up for grabs it’s going to be an action packed day of racing at Buxton Raceway

Buxton 6/4/26

Solid day at Buxton Raceway for Alex. An opportunity to bring lots of minor changes to the car together against 31 other Rebels battling for the Spring Nationals championship.

H1 - 12th
H2 - 14th
Final - 24th after a spin
Grand National - 18th

The next trip out will be back to Buxton raceway on Easter Monday

Tom Poynton Models produced this masterclass of Robert Jacklin’s car.

The detail is second to none!

Due to dangerous, foggy conditions at Mendips Raceway the meeting has been abandoned before Rebels Racing heat 1.

Now on our way back home with no damage, gutted but the right decision has been made, in the interest of safety.

See you all at Buxton Raceway on 6th April for some hopefully less foggy thrills in the hills, and a little closer to home

It’s Race Day

Alex’s ride for 2026 is complete. Multiple tweaks made to the car since last season and Dom Davies Signs brought the vegas theme to life in perfect fashion.
