Cake Race

Saturday was Saddleworth’s Cake Race, a very popular 10 mile across the moors towards Marsden and back. There is a cake competition and all the cake you can eat back at race HQ. The course involves 2 stream crossings and a tricky section through some woods. We were treated to perfect running conditions with the rain holding off and some sunshine....

Foe Edge

On Wednesday night, 8 Harriers took on Foe Edge, in Rossendale, the third championship race of the season. We had perfect racing conditions with blue skies and a fresh breeze. It started with an extremely steep climb from the start field up on to the moors with grassy trods, bridleways, loose stony paths and even a bit of bog (despite the recent dry conditions). Brun Valley 10K Trail

An amazing turnout of 23 Harriers for the Brun Valley Trail 10K on Sunday saw great results for the Harriers in the overall race results with an Overall 3rd place for Jorden Burke and 1st in his Age, 1st in category for Fiona Bolton and Karen Hallett and plenty of others with second and third places - Well done all!
