Langdale Horseshoe 2026

The Langdale Horseshoe is a classic Lakeland fell race and the FRA entries site says it all: The race is over a rough, tough course with almost exclusively rocky and slippy ground. The weather in October is rarely ‘pleasant’ and the fells are often clagged in, making navigation difficult on a course with many pathless sections and no route waymarking. This race is only suitable for experienced fellrunners....

And We’re Off!

In what is becoming quite a routine, the 2026-27 Cross Country Season began on Saturday at Woodbank Park. This year the weather was changeable with the wind gusting from the north west adding a chill and sudden showers which left some Harriers unsure of what to wear. Cross Keys Relay ’26

This unique event took place on Saturday, 19th September at the Cross Keys Pub above Uppermill, where teams of four runners contest a relay over two road legs of 3 miles and two fell legs of 2.5 miles. This format was originally designed to bring road and fell runners together in an event where they could appreciate each others skills and meet for a pint afterwards....

Hades Hill Success

More success for the Harriers at Hades Hill on Thursday night. 1st man home for the Harriers was Stuart Litster with an impressive 6th Overall and winning his Age Cat. Stuart now has an unassailable Age lead in the Run The Moors Fell GP and is lying in a very comfortable 3 place in the overall standings. Second man home was John Weaver, who strengthened his position 2 Age Cat in the GP from Aaron Marsh third.

Holcombe Two Towers FR ’26

Brilliant results for our fell runners at Wednesday evenings RTMFGP race at the Two Towers Fell Race (hosted by Holcombe.) Stuart Litster gained a Third Overall position and John Hall won his Age Category, there were strong runs by all our runners, which is is good news for our standings in the Run The Moors Fell GP. Well done all!
