💚🏏HAWK GREEN CC 2026 SEASON AWARDS🏏💚

We had a great time celebrating our 2026 season last weekend. Congratulations to all the winners and to our two team sponsors, Kameleoon for the 1st XI and The VAT People for the 2nd XI. We wholeheartedly appreciate your fantastic support.

Also mention to our player sponsors who saw a few of their players win end of season awards - who sponsored 2nd XI Player of the Season Kieran Henderson, and Marple business Brendan Pattison & Son Ltd. who sponsored 2nd XI Batter Mark Baker and his son Harry who picked Player and Batter for the 3rd XI.

Here’s to 2027 and the club going from strength to strength!

AND THAT’S A WRAP! 🏏

Our senior teams finished their season yesterday with results at the opposite ends of the spectrum. The 1st XI skittled Wirral for 60 with three wickets apiece for Faisal Khan, Ateeq Ur Rehman and Brad Holme with the Green knocking it off four down. 2nd XI were comfortably beaten by league champions Aston as the pitch deteriorated dramatically after Aston posted 206, with Jacob O’Reilly (sponsored by Kameleoon) taking 4/42 and Kieran Henderson (sponsored by SOS Hygiene Technologies) 2/31.

The end of a long but really enjoyable season. Thanks to all the players, volunteers, families and supporters who have made the club what it is 💚

💚💚 DOUBLE WIN WEEKEND 💚💚

Penultimate weekend of the cricket season and two wins out of two yesterday. The finest of margins for the 2nd XI as they beat Offerton 2nd XI by one run! A wet wicket meant a low scoring affair as Hawk Green were bowled out for 121 - Jordan Henderson with 48 and Mark Baker (sponsored by Brendan Pattison & Son Ltd.) with 45 top scoring. In reply, Jacob O’Reilly with 3/33, Andy Nixon 2/28 combined with some great death bowling by Kieran Henderson (sponsored by SOS Hygiene Technologies) saw us home in the 2nd XI’s last home match of the season.

The 1st XI travelled to Aston and scored 190 thanks to Brad Holme’s unbeaten 67. They bowled out Aston for 155, Brad Holme the pick of the bowling too with 4/35.

The sun has set on the 2026 junior season, with presentation evening. There were thank yous for ground staff, bar staff, coaches & managers followed by awards.

U11s (sponsored by Stopfordian) celebrated with the High Peak league trophy, with individual awards for Harry, Connor, Frank & Patrick.

U13 awards went to Reuben, Jacob, Toby & Ruben. The U9 award went to Samuel. At U15 all the awards were won by Jack - what a great season he has had! What a great season it’s been for the club with 72 junior games played. We go again next year - Up the Green!

A great day yesterday at Rhode Field for the Hawk Green T20 Day. A superb effort from everyone to get not one, not two, but THREE full games on across what started as a very wet day but didn’t stop our U9s beating their parents, U13s losing to theirs and, finally our Legends/Misfits edging out the U21s. A day for everyone as family and friends squared off against each other and a youngest participant of only four years old!

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the day - volunteers, local businesses, players and parents - we couldn’t have made it a success without you.
