Following a review of the playing surface and in the interests of providing the best possible conditions for our County Finals, the Bowls Lancashire Executive Committee has agreed that County Junior Finals and Senior Finals Weekend will now be held at Southport Bowling Club, bringing forward the venue scheduled to host next season.

We would like to thank both clubs for their understanding and cooperation.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to Southport BC for what promises to be an outstanding County Finals Weekend.

Further details, including the schedule of play, will be shared in due course.

A fantastic day’s bowling at Southport Bowling Club has seen the finalists confirmed in the 2026 Bowls Lancashire Women’s Triples Championship.

🌹 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗨𝗣 | 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧 🌹

Lancashire signed off our 2026 Middleton Cup campaign with an excellent 18–4 victory over Cumbria Bowling Association at Bolton Flat Green Bowling Club.

The Red Rose produced a strong all-round performance, claiming four of the six rinks and doing our job to put the pressure back on Yorkshire.

Unfortunately, despite our victory, Yorkshire’s 16–6 win means they progress to the quarter-final.

While today’s result wasn’t quite enough to extend our campaign, there is plenty for this Lancashire side to be proud of. The commitment, spirit and determination shown throughout the competition have been a credit to everyone involved.

A huge thank you to all of our players, selectors, coaches, volunteers and supporters who have backed the team every step of the way. Your support, particularly at today’s home fixture, was greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Yorkshire on qualifying, and we wish them every success in the remainder of the season.

The challenge is clear, but 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲.

Last season, a small batch of Bowls Lancashire shirts was produced with colours that appear much more neon orange and green than our standard red and green design.

We have now received a replacement batch and would like to carry out a like-for-like exchange for anyone affected.

If you have one of the neon-coloured shirts, please get in touch with Clare Fletcher, who currently has the replacement stock available.

Simply return your existing shirt and you’ll receive a replacement in the correct colours.

A fantastic day for Bowls Lancashire at Leamington yesterday! 🌹

Brilliant to see four of our juniors, Ellsie Johnson, Leila Roked, Jan Walton & George Tague, involved in the Bowls England Under 18 Talent Pathway, gaining valuable experience and representing the county with pride.

Hayley Milligan was also fighting for a place as a Bowls England Junior International.

A big thank you to the Bowls England coaches for their time, support and encouragement.

The Men’s and Women’s Fours semi-finals are taking shape, with finalists now confirmed.

Grant Howland, Jack Lockhart, Anthony Booth-Young & Lewis Rimmer defeated John Muldoon 24–9 to book their place in the final.

They will face either Ian Mayne or Shayne Rimmer, in what will be a hotly contested final.

Annie Chan, Irene Ho, Chloe Smith & Gillian Hinsley pushed passed Jane Baker, Denise Harvey, Jen McGovern and Shirley Lattimore 17–6, who will come up against Christine Travis for a place at Leamington.

Elsewhere, Northumberland take on Yorkshire.

Yorkshire remain in control. If they win, it makes it very difficult for us.

To outscore Yorkshire by 8 points, Lancashire’s target is 18 points or 16 with a 28 shot win.

The line-up for the 2026 Lancashire Senior Fours Finals has been confirmed following today’s semi-final action.

Dave Lattimore edged past Rhys Vaughan in a thriller, 16–15, to book his place in the final.

He will face Gordon Niven, who secured his spot with a strong 17–14 victory over David Lockhart.

Moira Ellis came through a superb semi-final contest against Carol Saunders, winning 18–17 to progress to the final.
