Soul Padel Launches ‘Play it Forward’ to Enable Councils and Charities to Commission Inclusive Padel Programmes.
Soul Padel has launched Play it Forward, a new model that enables councils, charities and community organisations to commission structured padel programmes designed around specific social outcomes.
Padel is one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports, but participation remains concentrated among those who already know how to access and organise play. Play it Forward has been created to address that gap by giving organisations a practical way to use padel to engage the audiences they support.

Soul Sisters taking over. 💙
This is what momentum looks like. Just a few months into launching Soul Sisters in St Helens and we’re already:
🎾 Filling all 4 courts
👭 18 women playing regularly
📈 Running a consistent waiting list
And now…we’re expanding. Because the demand is real. 🙌🏻
The reality is, women are still significantly underrepresented in sport:
📉 Over 40% of women drop out of sport by their mid-20s
⏳ 1 in 3 say lack of confidence stops them returning
🚫 Many feel traditional sports environments are too competitive or unwelcoming
That’s exactly what Soul Sisters is designed to change. No pressure. No barriers. Just a safe, fun and social environment where people can pick up a racket, meet others and build confidence at their own pace.
And what’s happening in St Helens is proof.
Not only are women engaging…they’re staying, progressing and bringing others with them. We’re now seeing that same momentum build across all of our clubs.
This isn’t a one-off. It’s a shift.

THE SOUL SQUAD. 💙
We don’t call them “staff.” We call them the Soul Squad.
Because these are the people who bring our clubs to life every single day. They are the first smile when somebody walks through the gate, the first person to help a nervous beginner, the energy behind the social sessions and the reason people keep coming back. 🫶🏻
At Soul Padel, we recruit for attitude first.
We want people who believe what we believe:
✅ Sport should be welcoming
✅ Community matters
✅ Energy is contagious
✅ Great experiences are created by great people
You can teach somebody how to run a till, organise a session or manage a court schedule. You cannot teach somebody to care. That’s why our Soul Squad are so important. They are not just employees. They are the personality of our brand.
Just as importantly, we believe in progression. We recruit from within, develop our talent and create opportunities for people to grow with the business.
At Soul Padel, it is entirely possible for somebody to join as a Squad member and progress to become a Club Leader within six months.
Because if somebody shows the right attitude, the right work ethic and the right care for customers, we will back them all the way. 💙
And looking at this squad …we think we’ve got a pretty special team.
If you want to be part of the Soul Squad, we are recruiting across the UK as we continue to grow.

Why social sport is growing so quickly. 🤝
Sport used to revolve around memberships, committees and fixed schedules. 📅
Today people want something different.
✅ They want flexibility.
✅ They want connection.
✅ They want sport that fits around busy lives.
That’s one of the reasons padel is growing so quickly. Games are fast. The learning curve is short. And the experience is naturally social. You can turn up with friends, join a club social or jump into an open match.🎾
At Soul Padel we’ve leaned fully into this idea.
Our weekly socials, open play formats and community leagues make it easy for people to play and meet others. Because for many players, the highlight of the evening isn’t just the match. It’s the conversation before and after it.💙
That’s the sporting culture we’re building across our clubs.

Soul Padel on the global stage. 🌍🎾
We’re proud to see our CEO, Mark Hewlett, announced as a speaker at the 2026 in Barcelona.
This is a big moment for Soul Padel because as the sport accelerates globally, it’s important that the UK has a voice in the conversation.
A voice grounded in:
👉 Building sustainable clubs
👉 Working with communities and local authorities
👉 Raising standards across the industry
👉 Creating long-term, accessible growth
The Padel World Summit brings together some of the most influential people in the sport — and Mark will be sharing the Soul Padel perspective on what it takes to build padel the right way.
From local parks to national infrastructure…from grassroots programmes to scalable formats; the opportunity is huge — but only if we get it right.
We’re looking forward to being part of that global discussion.

Cameron became the first Soul Mates “Bandeja” T-Shirt holder at 👏🏻
200 Almas earned. Not given. This is exactly what Soul Mates is all about. It’s not a membership. There’s no monthly fee or barrier to entry. It’s a loyalty system built around participation — the more you play, the more you progress.🙌🏻
Every booking, every session, every time you show up… you build Almas. And as you move through the levels, we recognise that commitment. Not with discounts, but with something more meaningful — progression, status and identity within the club.💙
The T-Shirts aren’t merchandise. They’re earned. They represent time on court and contribution to the community.🫶🏻
Cameron is now officially part of the Bandeja group… and already on the path to Chiquita. This is how we build clubs that people want to come back to.

Building better sports spaces in our towns and cities. 🏗️🎾
Across the UK, communities are crying out for places to be active. Yet traditional sports facilities are expensive, slow to deliver and often difficult for local authorities to fund.💰
At Soul Padel we believe there’s another way. 🤔
Our clubs are designed as durable, quality-built projects that can transform underused urban spaces into thriving sports hubs in months rather than years.
Retail parks.
Unused car parks.
Forgotten corners of towns.
These spaces can quickly become places where people meet, exercise and connect.
From Stockport to St Helens and Braehead to Loughborough, Wigan to Warrington and beyond, we’re seeing the same thing happen again and again — open the doors and the courts fill quickly.🎾
Because what communities really need isn’t just buildings. They need accessible places to play. That’s exactly what we’re building at Soul Padel.💙
