Use a quality degreaser and wipe it down after wet or dusty rides, apply l**e to each link, let it sit for a minute, then wipe off the excess.

Your drivetrain will shift smoother and last way longer.

The Tour 21 starts today with stage 1 in Barcelona, a 19.6km TTT.

We’ll be following the incredible riders taking on the whole Tour de France route 1 week ahead of the actual pro riders.

The Bike Fitters are proud partners of Cure Leukaemia supporting their cycling events with professional mobile bike fittings around the UK.

🚫BEAT THE BONK

That moment when your legs turn to jelly and every pedal stroke feels impossible?

That's "the bonk"—when your body runs out of glycogen and hits empty. Here's how to avoid it:

Eat before you're hungry. Start fuelling 45-60 minutes into your ride, not when you feel weak. By then it's too late—your body needs 20-30 minutes to process food into energy.

The 30-60 rule: Consume 30-60 grams of carbs per hour on rides over 90 minutes. That's a banana, an energy bar, or a handful of dried fruit every hour.

Don't skip breakfast. Rolling out on an empty stomach for anything longer than an easy spin is asking for trouble. Porridge, toast, or a bagel 1-2 hours before you ride gives you a solid foundation.

Carry emergency fuel. Gel, energy chews, or even fruit gums in your jersey pocket. When you need them, you REALLY need them.

The bonk is brutal but totally preventable. Fuel smart, ride strong.
