Message from our new Manager:
“Firstly, I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Cheadle Town Football Club and thank Stott Capital Sports Investments for the opportunity to lead the club into the new 2026/2027 Midlands Football League Premier Division Season.

I am thrilled to be joined by my new Assistant Manager Chris Rowley and Physio Oliver Brockbank and we are working hard behind the scenes on pre season friendlies and building a competitive playing squad ahead of the new season.

Success isn’t built overnight, but with hard work, discipline, and togetherness, I believe we can achieve something special. I’m excited to get started and begin this new chapter with the fans, sponsors, volunteers and our local community right behind us.

Thank you for your fantastic welcome - now it’s time to get to work.”

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Turnbull as First Team Player/Manager of Cheadle Town Football Club.

Paul joins the club bringing a wealth of passion, ambition and valuable Non-League experience, having previously managed in the North West Counties Football League with Stockport Town FC. The former Stockport County player now takes charge as we begin an exciting new chapter, both on and off the pitch.

Joining Paul in the dugout will be Assistant Manager Chris Rowley and Sports Rehabilitator Oliver Brockbank, who will form part of the new management team.

Everyone at Cheadle Town would like to extend a warm welcome to Paul, Chris and Oliver, and we look forward to seeing the club continue to progress under Paul’s leadership.

After 43 years, our time in the The North West Counties Football League - NWCFL has officially come to an end following confirmation of our lateral move to the Midland Football League.

Over the past four decades, we’ve shared countless memories across the NWCFL - memorable cup runs, promotion battles, local rivalries, long away days, and friendships that will last a lifetime. Some moments were unforgettable for all the right reasons… others perhaps less so!

While it’s the end of one chapter, it’s also the beginning of an exciting new journey for the club. We’re looking forward to visiting new grounds, reconnecting with familiar faces, and building new relationships with clubs and supporters across the Midland Football League.

To everyone we’ve met along the way over the last 43 years - thank you for being part of the journey.

Now, one small favour fixture secretaries… please don’t give us Lye Town away on a cold Tuesday night in December. A 178-mile round trip might be a bit much! 😅

Here’s to the next chapter.

And that’s a wrap on the 2025/26 Season!

A huge thank you to all our fans for your incredible support throughout the season - it’s meant everything to us.

As we bring this campaign to a close, we’re already looking ahead with excitement to next season. We’ll keep you updated with details of our pre-season fixtures in July.

Thank you as well to our players, coaches, and especially our volunteers - non-league football simply wouldn’t exist without your dedication and hard work.

We’ll be back stronger next season. For now, we regroup and look forward to welcoming you back to the ground for our pre-season friendlies.

Signing off for the season, see you soon!
