1) Loose glitter applied over a builder base followed by some shards of Aurora flakes
2) Encapsulated in glitter gel Polish for good measure (cos who doesn’t want more glitter 🙃)
3) Finished with a few hand painted stars 🌟
4) Glitter top coat 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Using different size glitters and layering the design, creates texture and lots of sparkle (which makes me reallyyyyyy happy 😄)

Also I feel like I need to get with the times lol and restructure my service menu in terms of nail art and categorise pricing for simple/advanced/extra advanced nail art.

This is a long one soz 🤪 got my educator hat on 🤗

I wanted to do a post regarding the segment this morning on the BBC (interesting watch on IPlayer)

It was a piece on gel manicures and the dangers of allergic reactions following use of gel kits/having gel manicures - I am conscious that this may concern people who have gel!

This is not a new thing 😅 unfortunately reactions have been occurring for years and this is due to either -
1) Untrained individuals attempting their own gel mani and without having correct health and safety measures in place or learning the correct and safe application method - they are getting gel all over their skin which is leading to overexposure thus causing allergic reactions.

2) THE PRODUCT - There are well known brands still not removing the nasties from their gel composition resulting in nail separation, skin conditions and in some cases I have seen - loss of their nail all together 🥺 it’s basically a lottery if you get a reaction from these brands which is why I will never use them.

I am glad this issue has been raised on TV but I want to reassure clients/students that having gel does not mean you will get a reaction.
Being educated is key and with safe application and using safe, PROFESSIONAL products you and your nails will be fine 🫶🏽💅🏼😉

Every college/academy I have taught have these values instilled and any student of mine will tell you I bang on about health and safety, PPE, hygiene etc and also the importance and checking your products are safe ✔️

I have included the post from the brand I use so you know that I use a brand who value their customers and all that use that brand. They would never use anything other than cosmetically graded products 🙌🏽🙌🏽
