Club Statement

DadBod FC wishes to address recent public allegations made against the club.

⚽ Club Fees & Transparency
As a newly established grassroots club, DadBod FC charges a monthly subscription of £50. This fee is clearly communicated to all players prior to joining and is essential to cover the wide range of operational costs involved in running a football club. These include:

• League registration fees
• Pitch and training facility hire
• Insurance
• Equipment and matchday logistics
• ⁠and much more

At present, the club has not undertaken any fundraising initiatives. As a brand-new team, all costs have been covered directly by players and committee members. We fully intend to launch fundraising efforts in the near future to help reduce the subs of the club and make participation more accessible.

We understand that financial circumstances can vary, and we have worked with several players who have faced challenges — including mental health struggles or injuries — to offer flexibility and support wherever possible.

🚫 Player Releases
Players have been released from the club for reasons including disciplinary issues, repeated non-payment of subs despite reminders, and failure to complete league registration. These decisions are never taken lightly and are made in the interest of maintaining a respectful and committed team environment.

👕 Sponsorship & Kit Funding
Recent claims regarding club finances and sponsorship are misleading. A sponsor generously funded an allocation of club kits and tracksuits, with payment made directly to the supplier. The club did not receive or handle this money. We are grateful for the support of our sponsors, who help us build a sustainable future for the club.

👥 Club Structure & Growth
DadBod FC currently operates two teams — a decision made collectively by the club to expand opportunities for participation and community engagement. Naturally, this increases our operational costs, but we remain committed to ensuring every penny is used to benefit our players and the club’s development.

🚨 Safety & Conduct
We recently cancelled a friendly fixture against 6aside footballers, due to concerns over alleged threats made toward our players. The safety and wellbeing of our members is paramount, and we will always act decisively to protect them.

We regret that some individuals that seems to be the 6aside football lads have taken issue with the club and chosen to express their concerns in a public and hostile manner.m
