PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT | WELCOME YOUSAF BABER 🏏

​Stayley Cricket Club are delighted to announce the signing of Yousaf Baber as our Club Professional for the 2027 season.

​Yousaf, an explosive top-order batsman from Pakistan, brings a proven track record of high-level performance. During his tenure with Cleckheaton in the Bradford Premier League from 2022 to 2025, he amassed nearly 5,000 runs over four seasons—highlighted by a remarkable 1,500-plus run campaign in 2025. In addition to his heavy run-scoring capabilities, Yousaf adds valuable depth to our bowling attack with his spin option.

​Beyond his contributions on the field, Yousaf will play a pivotal role in strengthening our junior development setup, working alongside our existing coaching staff to deliver elite Friday night training sessions.

​We extend our sincere gratitude to PA Sports for their support in facilitating this signing.

​Please join us in giving Yousaf a warm Stayley welcome when he arrives at the club in April!

⛳️ “RICK PARKER MEMORIAL GOLF DAY” ⛳️

It’s looking like to be a fantastic day/evening. Places are still available if people are wanting to join in. Please contact the numbers below.

We are having a raffle/auction on the evening and are asking for donations of any kind items/services anyone could offer would be great!

All proceeds go to Pancreatic cancer charity. We hope so see everyone down.

The bar is operating at normal hours from 12PM for anyone wanting to get down early and we have the one and only Lee Sharpy performing 🎵 🍺 ⛳️

RICK PARKER MEMORIAL GOLF DAY
⛳ Join us for the inaugural Rick Parker Memorial Golf Day!
On Saturday 3rd October, Stayley will be heading to Castle Hawk Golf Club for a fantastic day of golf, fundraising and fun — all in memory of Rick Parker and raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We’re looking for 18 teams of 4 to battle it out on the course and compete to become the first-ever winners of the Rick Parker Memorial Cup! 🏆
Places are just £30 per person, which includes a breakfast butty and a brew to get you fuelled up before hitting the course.
🏌️ SPONSOR A HOLE
We’re also giving businesses and individuals the opportunity to sponsor one of the 18 holes for just £50.
Every penny raised from the hole sponsorships will go directly to Pancreatic Cancer UK, helping support an incredibly important cause.
🎶 THE FUN DOESN’T STOP THERE!
Once the golf is finished, we’ll be heading back to Stayley Cricket Club, where the evening will continue with:
🎵 Live music
🎟️ Raffles
🔨 An auction
🍻 Plenty of fun and good company
So, even if golf isn’t your cup of tea, you can still come along in the evening and support this fantastic cause!

We want this to be much more than a traditional sportsman’s dinner, with:

Live & silent auction
Envelope Wall
Last Man Standing
Bar open throughout the evening

**Tickets are £40 per person**, with proceeds from the evening helping to support and develop Stayley Cricket Club.

The event is open to **everyone** — members, friends, local businesses, supporters and cricket fans from other clubs are all very welcome.

Help us wrap up the season at Stayley Cricket Club! 🏏✨

​It’s time to put the ground to bed for the winter! We’re hosting our annual end-of-season clean-up day this Sunday, 27th September, starting at 11am.

​There are plenty of small jobs to tackle—from taking down banners to packing away kit—and many hands make light work!

​As a small token of our appreciation, a free sausage or bacon butty and a hot brew will be waiting for everyone who lends a hand. Plus, the bar will be open right after so we can stick around for a well-deserved drink together.

​Hope to see plenty of friendly faces there!

Oktoberfest is back!!!

We have the fantastic Middleton Oompah Band returning to Stayley for what will be a great night. German b**r will be on 🍻bratwursts ready 🌭 and plenty of dancing. Get dressed up and join us. Kids games also during the day.
