Getting there!
Looking forward to starting the new term next week.
We’re moving! After a long week, we’re finally setting up in our new premises!
Stay tuned!
Do you frequently see the same less-than-optimum movement patterns in your clients?
Knees winging during a bridge? Ribs flaring on lifting the arms? Rolling backwards when doing a clam/oyster? And that’s just to name a few!
Do these persist despite your best cueing (verbal and hands on)?
Do you ever wonder why?
If you’re answering ‘YES, YES, YES!’ to these questions, the Movement Anatomy Essentials course is for you!

Friday 21st April 10am - 5pm - Touch, Massage Techniques and Trigger Pointing, plus K-Taping
We will be exploring the wonder of touch and how to use it to ‘read’ the body, simple massage techniques you can use in your sessions and trigger pointing. You will gain techniques you can use immediately to enable better movement in your clients. We will then look at the whys and hows of K-taping, a technique with many benefits such as reduced pain and increased proprioception.

Saturday 22nd April 10am - 5pm - Nerves and Neurodynamics plus METs
Our nervous system is fundamental to how our body functions, yet its role in movement is often not fully acknowledged. Can you tell whether you are observing neural tightness or muscular tightness? Do you know how to help a client who complains of tingling or pins and needles during a movement? We will explore all of these things and more. We will then go on to practise METs, a technique that is highly effective in resolving muscle dysfunction and enabling better movement patterns.

These are largely practical days. On each day you will learn and get to practise a raft of techniques that you can immediately and easily integrate into your sessions. These are stand alone days (you do not need to attend both), but they do complement each other. These days are great value, as you are getting two modules for the price of one!

Would be lovely to see you!
This!
This picture is still getting it wrong. Can you spot the mistake?
Nature's way of resetting and toning your neuro-myofascia IS pandiculating, NOT stretching but that doesn't mean you contract. Replace that concept with condense. You're not making some parts longer and some parts smaller. You're rhythmically pulsating in and out simultaneously. The going in IS the other part we've been leaving out in our outdated ideas about our bodies. Don't leave it out.
Stretching actually turns off your muscles and compromises your structural integrity. If you're naturally stiff, stretching will make you stiffer. If you're naturally flexible, you're probably hyper mobile, which means you have fewer sensory nerves than stiffies. You'll tend to go beyond end range just to feel the 'stretch' so, dial back before end range and find the pulsation and your body will thank you.
Wishing you peace and joy this Christmas time and a happy and healthy 2023! 🎄
