So good to see all the kids back out on the pitches doing what they love. Some brilliant football played, plenty of smiles and lots to look forward to over the season ahead! 🙌

With the new season starting this weekend, we genuinely can’t wait to get going.

We’re heading into only our second season as a club, and when you look back at what was achieved in our first, there’s so much for everyone involved with Notts Utd to be proud of.

🏆 Teams winning leagues, cups and tournaments
⭐ Players selected for the JPL All Stars, playing at Juventus Academy and with trips to Real Madrid and Barcelona this season
✍️ Two players signed by professional academies
👏 Three players offered YD8 opportunities with professional academies — two of those coming in just the last few weeks

But as proud as we are of all of that, success at Notts Utd will never just be measured by trophies or academy opportunities.

As we start another season, we just ask our parents to enjoy the journey with them. It goes far quicker than you realise.

Let the kids play. Let them make mistakes. Let them make their own decisions. Encourage them from the sidelines rather than trying to coach them through the game, and please trust and respect the coaches who give up their time every week for the children.

There will be wins, losses, great performances and probably a few frustrating Saturday & Sundays along the way 😂 — but they're kids playing football, and they're supposed to enjoy it.

🔴⚪️ ACADEMY SIGNING | OSCAR JARVIS ⚪🔴

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Oscar Jarvis has successfully completed his YD8 and has signed for Lincoln City FC! 👏⚽

For the past two seasons, Aaron and the coaching team have worked with Oscar every Saturday and Sunday, putting countless hours into his development alongside the rest of the boys.

The encouragement, hard work and dedication they show these lads week in, week out is unbelievable, and moments like this make it all worthwhile. A huge well done to Aaron and all the coaches — you should be incredibly proud of the part you’ve played in Oscar’s journey.

And most importantly… massive congratulations to Oscar!

You’ve absolutely smashed your YD8 and earned this opportunity. Go and enjoy every minute of being an academy player, keep working hard and keep being yourself.

A massive congratulations to Notts RTC - Outlaws player Alfie, who has been scouted by Nottingham Forest and will now begin his YD8 journey with the club. 👏🔴

The Outlaws were only formed this summer ahead of their first season competing in The Junior Premier League and already they’ve had a player recognised and picked up by a professional academy. 💚

A huge well done to Alfie, his family and the Outlaws coaching team for the work they’ve put in.

🚨⚽ ELIAS – WHAT A JOURNEY. WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT. ⚽🚨

Everyone at Notts United FC is incredibly proud to announce that Elias has been offered a YD8 with Mansfield Town Football Club and will begin his programme next week. 👏🔥

This one means a little bit more because we know the journey Elias has been on to get here.

When Elias first came into our coaching environment, things didn't necessarily come easily to him. He initially struggled and wanted an opportunity to trial for our JPL side, but at that point he wasn't quite ready.

But Elias didn't let that define him.

He kept playing. He kept learning. He kept working.

Eventually, he earned his opportunity with us — and since joining the group, his development has been remarkable.

Technically he's improved massively, but we've been equally proud of his physical and mental development. He listens, takes coaching points on board and then goes away and works on them. His commitment doesn't stop when training finishes; he puts the hours in away from the team too.

His story is a brilliant example for every young footballer:

Where you are today doesn't determine where you can get to.

Development isn't always a straight line. There will be setbacks, disappointments and moments when you're told you're not quite ready. What matters is how you respond.

Elias responded by working harder 💪🏻

And we're incredibly proud that Notts United Football Club and The Junior Premier League have been part of that journey.

Last season was our first ever season competing in the JPL, and in that time this group has already produced:

⚽ A player signed by Lincoln City Academy
⚽ A player offered a YD8 with Doncaster Rovers
⚽ And now Elias offered a YD8 with Mansfield Town

Three academy opportunities from our group in our first JPL season.

That's something we're immensely proud of as a club.

We're building an environment where talented young players are challenged. Training is demanding, standards are high and development comes before trophies and results.

We want players who are brave, technically confident, intelligent in their decision-making, physically capable and mentally resilient — and most importantly, players who want to learn.

Seeing our players recognised by professional academies tells us that the environment and pathway we're creating is working.

But today belongs to Elias.

You've earned this opportunity through your attitude, resilience and hard work.

Now go and attack your YD8 with exactly the same mentality that got you there and take that next step towards becoming a fully-fledged academy player.

⚽ U11 PLAYER WANTED – NOTTS UNITED FC ⚽

We’ve recently lost another player to an Academy — the third player from our group to earn an Academy opportunity, which we’re incredibly proud of.

We’re now looking for a mid-to-high level player who wants to work hard, develop and progress.

🟢 Saturday – JPL
⚪ Sunday – YEL Premier
🟢 Friday evening training
⚪ UEFA-qualified coaches who are also Academy Scouts
🟢 Regular games against professional Academies

Both teams need a player, but if you can only commit to Saturday or Sunday, that’s absolutely fine.
