Time with friends is exactly that the doctor ordered. I've had an amazing week away in the most beautiful area with perfect sea. I'm looking forward to being back in the gym tomorrow xx

Enjoying your holiday doesn't make you a bad mum, and it doesn't erase your progress. Life is for making memories, not chasing perfection. The routine will still be there when you get home. 🤍✈️✨ xx

I don't always see the changes but when this photo came up on my memories and comparing it to 1 of me today it really does show the difference. It's been a long journey with ups and downs, small changes and holding myself accountable even when I don't want to xx

There’s something powerful about being in the sea. 🌊

The salt water helps soothe the body, improve circulation, and support muscle recovery, while the minerals in the ocean can benefit skin health. Mentally, the rhythmic sound of the waves and the feeling of being immersed in nature help reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and boost mood.

Sometimes the best therapy is simply stepping into the sea and letting nature do what it does best 💙 xx

A week off training won't set you back—it might be exactly what your body needs. 💪

Recovery is where the magic happens. Time away from the gym allows your muscles, joints, and nervous system to repair, rebuild, and come back stronger. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your progress is to rest.

Trust the process. Rest is part of the program xx

People often ask why strength training matters.
This photo is my answer.

Being able to carry, play, lift, run, and fully join in with the people you love is what fitness is really about. ❤️💪 And going to cricket to be the human climbing frame for friends kids 😂

Self-doubt will visit all of us at some point.

It whispers that you're not ready, not good enough, or that you should just give up.

I've learned that the goal isn't to never feel self-doubt. The goal is not to unpack and live there.

Feel it. Acknowledge it. Then keep moving.

Because every time you choose to show up despite the doubt, you build evidence that you're stronger than the voice in your head.

Today wasn't about being perfect.
It was about coming back, pushing through, and leaving stronger than I arrived.

💪 Progress isn't the absence of doubt—it's what happens when you refuse to let it decide who you become xx

Weight training is especially valuable for women because it supports health, function, and quality of life in ways that cardio alone often doesn't.

1. Supports Metabolism

Muscle tissue requires more energy than fat tissue, even at rest. Building and maintaining muscle can:

Increase daily calorie expenditure
Help with body composition
Make weight management easier over time

2. Improves Hormonal and Metabolic Health

Regular strength training can:

Improve insulin sensitivity
Support blood sugar regulation
Reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes
Improve cardiovascular health markers

3. Preserves and Builds Muscle

Women naturally lose muscle mass as they age, particularly after their 30s and during and after menopause. Strength training helps maintain and build muscle, which:

Makes everyday tasks easier
Improves balance and mobility
Reduces the risk of falls and injuries
Supports independence later in life

4. Strengthens Bones

Women are at a higher risk of osteoporosis than men, especially after menopause when estrogen levels decline. Weight-bearing and resistance exercises stimulate bone growth and help maintain bone density, lowering the risk of fractures.

5. Enhances Mental Health

Research consistently shows that resistance training can:

Reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression
Improve mood
Increase self-confidence and self-efficacy
Help manage stress

You are worthy and you are enough.

We all have days where we're filled with self doubt. We all have parts of our bodies that we don't like.

But they are not what our worth is based on. Our worth comes from who we are as a person not our looks.

Some days we need to remind ourselves just how amazing we are and what we have already achieved xx
