WYCC - Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club

Come and enjoy the sun and try a new water activity at Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club!!

We will be running a beginner’s programme over two sessions, Saturday 23rd May and Saturday 30th May, 12- 1pm

£10 for the course (covering both sessions)

Aimed at beginners to gain some knowledge of both kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

Ages 8-18 welcome

Thank you to the Original Factory Shop, Melksham, for kindly donating the club new coat hangers, they were much needed, now we can hang up our new bouyancy aids. Thank you.

Thank you Wey Kayak Club for hosting the GB-ONE Coaching Conference led Hannah Brown, Scott Hynds, James Train and Charlie Barwis. An inspirational, thought provoking and enjoyable day. Thank you Charlie for inviting me ( Paul Whitlock).

WYCC have this fantastic Canadian canoe to add to our collection. Thank you so much Karen for your very kind donation, it’s very much appreciated :), and it will be used by club members for many years to come. ,

What a brilliant event for team WYCC at the Nene Whitewater Centre! 🏆🛶

​We hosted a super successful and competitive timed race event on the rapids!

A massive congratulations to all the paddlers who came out and showed fantastic skill and speed. It was a challenging and fun day for everyone!

​Thank you so much to everyone who attended from all clubs, making the day a huge success.

​A special note of gratitude to Kevin, Lucy, and Phil—thank you for organising the event! It was incredibly well-planned and executed, making for a memorable paddling experience.

​P.S. A few of our members also took the opportunity to sharpen their skills with some Whitewater Safety and Rescue training!

Just a little thank you to Team WYCC for all your hard work volunteering this weekend supporting Melksham Food and River Festival. A great success all round, in introducing newbes on the water with our various taster sessions held, as well as cake sales, tombola and raffle.

We managed to raise an amazing £930 (£70 shy of £1000), that will go directly in supporting the future of the club.

Thank you again to all who baked, donated, coached and gave up their time in support this event and in support of Team WYCC.
