Petplan Area Festivals - the biggest British Dressage affiliated series in the UK!

Petplan Equine Area Festivals are the perfect target for many BD riders looking to have a taste of the big time at a Championship–feel event. The series, which was launched in 2000 and is aimed at grassroots riders, has grown from 15 Area Festivals around the country with 555 tests completed in its’ first year to over 6,300 dressage tests ridden in the 2018/19 series. Split into two seasons, summer and winter, the Petplan Equine Area Festivals offer a year round competition pathway with riders qualifying and competing in the Area Festivals, before going on to the Area Festival Championships taking place in April and October each year.

It is time for our September Petplan UK Horse of the Month competition! This time the nominations are open to all horses and ponies that competed at the Summer Area Festivals!🌞

We would like to hear more about your 'Summer Superstars'! It doesn't matter what the result was, we want to know more about how you got there, what they have overcome, how they have progressed and what your horse did to make you proud and more!

August's Petplan Horse of the Month competition was open to all RoR horses who compete in the series, and it was so lovely to hear about their journeys from the race track to the dressage arena!

Thank you to everyone who nominated their horse, one that stood out to us was Lily Davies' amazing journey with Dream Mistress, retraining the lovely mare herself, read her nomination below:

"Dream Mistress (Bea) finishing 3rd in the Novice Silver Music with 70% and Highest Placed U21 and 5th in the Novice Silver last weekend 🌟 I have owned Bea for nearly 9years now and have retrained her myself after she raced 36times. Riding down the centre line together doesn't get any less amazing and how we have grown together makes our journey so special 👑🐝"

🐾❤️ A Guinness World Records™ title, 50 years of pet care, and a community we’re incredibly proud of.

As Petplan UK celebrates 50 years of helping pets live happier, healthier lives, we're thrilled to have achieved a Guinness World Records™ title for the Largest Online Photo Album of Pets.

This record is more than a milestone. It's a celebration of the millions of dogs, cats, rabbits and horses we've helped protect over the last five decades, and the wonderful pet owners who have trusted Petplan to be part of their journey.

A huge thank you to everyone who uploaded a photo and helped bring this record-breaking album to life. Your support has helped us celebrate not only this achievement, but 50 years of keeping pets at the heart of everything we do.
