An early start to the season with a long drive down to Tondu for a 1030 KO

Our girls in yellow started off slowly with this one getting a feel to be back in game day mode. A very big kick from our keeper Molly saw the ball go to the feet of Macey who picked it up and tapped into the back of the net.
Tondu came back with a counter goal and ended at 1-1 half time.
After full hydration and oranges our girls came back on raring to go. With doll leading the charge on the left wing with her boots strapped tight she buried two goals within the first 3 minutes with some outstanding assists again from our defenders Amelia and Gracie.

The excitement of 3 goals back to back caused some distraction and unluckily got 2 goals through making the end score a WIN with 4-3.
Great performance from our girls from the first one back, and now with the nerves settled we train for round 2.

Massive well done to Tondu goal keeper who was outstanding and saved some cracking shots.

Her grit and determination (and tight straps) got us up and running today showing brilliant work rate, positional sense and eagerness to drive the ball forward. She comes away with 2 goals and an assist 👏

Jim (Ella)
Jim gave brilliant defensive coverage today, winning the ball back and making some great passes down the line. With a switch to the wing in the second half, her work rate and ability to keep the ball and send it forward was superb and was unlucky not to get on the score board. 👏

Huge well done to the whole team on your first game back, and a shout out to the introduction of our 3 new players, Lola, Hollie and Molly💗 we get ready for the next 👊

Today we took on a friendly with Penydarren who hosted on the Bont.
What a great pre season friendly and thank you for hosting.
