Blues take on the Whites in the TJFA U9 Girls Challenge Cup Final at Rockliffe Park on Saturday Afternoon! 🤩

It should be a great experience for both teams, some players go a whole career without reaching a cup final, so we hope they all enjoy! 🥳

Regardless of the result, we are immensely proud of the journeys both Blues & Whites have been on since forming in September as 2 fresh teams. 👏🏻

BR Whites vs Guisbrough 🤍 (Semi Final)

A tough old game for the Whites on Saturday as they looked to secure their place in the U9 Challenge Cup Final. Full squad available, it was a team effort to get past familiar opposition in Guisbrough. 🤩

Ivana scored the first, with Jemima adding a second and at 2-2 with minutes to go, Ivana added a third to send the Whites through to the final. 👊🏻😮‍💨

A game full of emotions, both on the pitch and off it 😅, the Whites should be extremely proud of their efforts and performance!

BR Blues vs TIBS Blues 💙 (Semi Final)

Blues were all guns blazing Saturday morning, unleashing a top tier performance to send them through to the U9 Challenge Cup Final! Full squad available, a fantastic team performance ensued. 😆

Pressing and winning the ball high up the pitch, while being air tight at the back. Ariana made a couple of crucial saves when called upon, but the backline of Lily, Olivia, Charlotte and Ava kept the TIBS attack quiet. 👊🏻

In forward areas, Libby, Nirvana & Evelyn caused problems all morning, while Ava controlled the game getting on the ball in tight areas. Our talisman No14 powered home 4 emphatic finishes, as Ella added to her total for the season. Ava chipped in late on, driving through gap in the centre of the pitch to slot home to bring it home for the Blues! 💙🥳

On to the MFC Training Ground for an all BR affair in the final - UTBR 💙🙌🏻⚽️

Harper today represented her school in a Y4/5 Boys tournament with North Yorkshire Schools. 🙌🏻

Not only did her School go on to win the competition, but our Super Keeper kept a clean sheet day! 🧤🧼

( there’s also been rumours of her scoring a bicycle kick 🧐 but we’ll believe that when we see it )

Bit of friendly fun to keep ours girls busy this morning! Mixed in with Boro Rangers Girls u10 Whites and Boro Rangers U8 Girls to keep everyone busy!

Emily, Maria, Francesca and Ivy spilt between the older girls and played 7v7 for well over an hour when we forgot to set a second half timer ⏱️😅 Great play and attitude from all 4 with Harper making a cameo last 15 🧤 (and Charlie for the last 2 🫣 less said the better)

Harper, Lily, Nirvana, Erica, Jemima and Evelyn had a 5aside friendly with the U8s to help them prep for their semi final next week - good lucks girls! 🙌🏻🙏

Back with a bang at Girls First Academy ‘The One’ tonight! Some great football played at a really high standard! 🤩

Huge well done to all our girls which took part, good to see a few new faces down to try it out! This format has done some much for our players, both technically and boosting confidence on the ball! 🙌🏻
