Menopause isn't the time to stop pushing yourself in the gym. But it might be time to change HOW you're training.

As hormone levels shift through perimenopause and menopause, your approach to exercise should shift too.

How?

1. Prioritise strength training - aim for 2-3 sessions a week to maintain muscle, strength, and bone health.

2. Keep some cardio in the mix - don't spend hours doing it. A combination of steady movement and shorter, higher-intensity sessions can be really beneficial.

3. Don't forget about your bones - weight-bearing and impact-based exercise becomes even more important as we get older.

4. Actually give yourself time to recover - rest and sleep aren't you being lazy. They're part of training properly.

The big takeaway?

You don’t need to stop challenging yourself just because you’re going through menopause.

You might just need to train a little smarter, and for many women, that means making strength training a much bigger priority💪

There's a reason for that!

Moving your body can help reduce stress, boost your mood, and give you that much-needed switch-off from everything else going on.

You might not always feel like walking through the door, but chances are, you'll be SO glad you did.

Come try it for yourself💪

Giving you a key fob and access to 50 pieces of equipment isn't the same as actually helping you...

For a lot of commercial gyms, the model is simple: sign you up, show you around, leave you to it.

There's no real guidance, structure, or noticing whether you're progressing (or even showing up).

And then when you don't get results, you feel like you've failed.

That's why we believe a gym should do more than open the door.

You should know what you're doing, why you're doing it, and have someone there to make sure you're actually moving forward.

That's what support should look like💪

Here's a question...

Why is weight loss still the first thing we sell women when they walk into a gym?🤔

Lose weight. Burn calories. Drop a dress size. Get "summer ready".

As if becoming smaller is the most interesting thing a woman could achieve with her body.

We'd rather see you deadlift your bodyweight, carry your shopping without any help, or get off the floor without thinking twice.

Reach your 50s, 60s and beyond with muscle, strong bones, and confidence in what your body can do.

Want to lose a bit of body fat along the way? Absolutely fine. But it doesn't have to be the main event.

Bone health often isn't something we think about until it becomes a problem, but by then, it's much harder to do something about it.

One of the best things you can do? Strength train.

Regular resistance training:
💪 Helps maintain bone density
💪 Builds the muscles that support your joints
💪 Improves balance and stability

It's not just about looking stronger, it's about staying strong for the years ahead🙌
