⚽️ Match Report – MK Irish U18s vs Dunstable Town ⚽️
What a night! Both sides came into this game knowing exactly what was on the line. A win for Dunstable would secure their place in the playoffs, while we knew 3 points would keep our knockout hopes alive.
The game started scrappy, with both teams struggling to settle and get the ball down. However, MK Irish always looked dangerous on the break. The breakthrough came when Calvin latched onto a brilliant pass from Zak and calmly finished to make it 1-0.
We didn’t stop there. Shortly after, a well-delivered set piece found Zak, who powered home a header to put us 2-0 up. At that point, we looked in full control.
The game turned in the 35th minute when Zak was shown a red card, forcing us to dig deep. Despite being down to 10 men, we held firm and went into half-time 2-0 up.
The second half was full of action. Dunstable came out strong and pulled one back to make it 2-1. Harvey responded brilliantly to restore our two-goal lead at 3-1, but Dunstable hit back almost immediately to make it 3-2.
With 10 minutes left, Bazza broke forward, won a penalty, and confidently slotted it home to make it 4-2. Dunstable’s frustration showed as they were reduced to 9 men before the final whistle.
Full Time: MK Irish U18s 4-2 Dunstable Town
Massive performance from the boys—resilience, character, and quality when it mattered. 👏
Thank you to everyone who came down to support—loud and proud as always! 🙌
