Dragons Netball Club

Ladies, players, umpires, supporters, and every member of our Dragons family — thank you for being here as we close another unforgettable season.

When we talk about netball, we often talk about the matches, the wins, the losses, the training sessions, the development. But at the heart of it all, what truly defines this club is community. It’s the way people show up for one another, the way we celebrate together, pick each other up, and create a space where everyone feels welcome, valued, and part of something bigger.

This season has been a celebrating season for many of us — and a tough season for others. As a club, we’ve shared some incredible personal milestones:
* new babies welcomed into the world,
* unexpected pregnancies bringing joy and surprise,
* big milestone birthdays,
* weddings,
* new homes,
* new jobs and new beginnings.
These moments remind us how deeply connected we are, and how much life we share beyond the court.

Some of us have faced scary health issues, injury setbacks, and heartbreakingly, the loss of family members and friends. And through every one of those moments — the joyful ones and the painful ones — this club has shown what community truly means. You’ve supported each other, held space for one another, and proved that Dragons is more than a club; it’s a family.

And then there’s something even deeper — something we don’t always say out loud, but we feel every time we step onto the court or into a huddle. It’s that unspoken sisterhood. The understanding, the trust, the shared grit, the knowing look when someone needs encouragement, the arm around a shoulder after a tough game, the cheer that lifts someone’s confidence, the belief we hold in each other even when we doubt ourselves. That sisterhood is powerful. It’s what makes us Dragons.

To every player who gave their all, to every umpire who supported us, to every captain and vice captain who led with heart, and to every supporter who stood by us — thank you. You are the reason this club feels like home.

As we close the chapter on this season, let’s carry forward the friendships we’ve built, the community we’ve strengthened, and the sisterhood that binds us.
Rest, recharge, and get ready — because next season, we rise again, together.

Congratulations to Issy on being named Shared Player of the Season in Division 1. Throughout the season, Issy consistently demonstrated skill, commitment, and determination, making a huge impact in defence whenever she stepped onto the court. Sadly, an injury prevented her from finishing the season, but her performances had already left a lasting impression. We’re delighted to see her progressing well on her recovery journey and look forward to welcoming her back on court very soon. 🧡🏐👏

Congratulations to Dragons Orange on an outstanding season! Finishing as runners-up is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the team’s hard work, determination, and consistency throughout the season. To top it off, Dragons Orange earned the Best Attack award, showcasing their exciting, fast-paced style of play and ability to consistently find the net. A brilliant season to be proud of, with plenty of success to build on for the future. 🧡🏐
