Colliers Wood Dance classes was started by Tony Townsend (a retired Treasury civil servant) in 2007, as part of the grass roots movement 'Making Colliers Wood Happy'. You might have seen Tony, the gentleman distributing leaflets in the evenings outside the Colliers Wood station. Because it is a 'community activity' we are able to pass the financial benefit of lower room hiring rates to the student

There is a new phenomena in Paris of public ballet barre practice open to anyone on the Pont Louis-Philippe over the Seine held on certain days of the week.

Colliers Wood also hosts Merton Vision
The Blind Ballerinas of Sao Paulo - GEO Reportage | ARTE Geyza Pereira, the only blind Prima Ballerina in the world, lives in the Brazilian metropolis of Sao Paulo. She was taught by the Ballet de Cegos dance school, an institution that teaches blind and partially sighted dancers, founded by Fernanda Bianchini.
