⚽️ Fantastic day of football for our boys ⚽️

We welcomed Buckley, Higher Bebington, Kinnerton, and Market Drayton for a brilliant morning of football, with plenty of competitive and closely fought matches throughout.

As always, we fielded two mixed teams and the boys delivered some outstanding performances and excellent results. Our only defeat came in a narrow 2-1 loss against Higher Bebington.

A massive well done to all of our Casty boys, not only for competing so well with mixed teams, but for showing they have what it takes to play against really well drilled sides including teams a year older, whilst still achieving fantastic results.

A huge thank you as well to all of our coaches and parents for helping the morning run so smoothly.

Back to league action this Sunday as we face Mynydd Isa ⚽️

Something a little different today!

Today was the Flintshire Schools Tournament and our boys proudly represented Abermorddu, Broughton and Hope Primary Schools.

As you can see from the picture we had a full squad of Casty players representing Hope Primary School - Ysgol Estyn Hope.

They played superbly all day, topping the league phase winning every single game.
The boys then powered through the quarter-finals and semi-finals, before clinching the final 2-1! 🏆

⚽️ Castell Alun vs Buckley Town ⚽️

The boys enjoyed another brilliant morning of football on Sunday, taking on Buckley Town in a 7v7 friendly.

With mixed teams, the lads delivered a strong performance on our first team pitch. Even with a few injuries along the way, their effort and determination never wavered, resulting in two great results.

A big thank you to Buckley Town for making the trip and for bringing the additional 7-a-side goals with them.

Next up, we face Mold Alex in our away league fixture this Sunday ⚽️

The boys enjoyed another excellent morning of football yesterday as we travelled for our Mother’s Day league fixture against a strong Mynydd Isa side.

After months of battling through heavy and boggy grass pitches, it was great to play on 4G astro, a welcome change for the team and one that allowed both sides to move the ball well.

As always, matches against Mynydd Isa Football Club were physical and highly competitive, providing great competition for our boys.

This weekend also gave the squad another opportunity to experience the 7-a-side format, which they excelled in. The effort, teamwork, passing, moving and determination shown across both games was fantastic to see 👏🏻

Both matches were closely contested, providing a great test for all the players and making for two very enjoyable games to watch.

It was also brilliant to see the boys enjoying themselves on the park next to the pitches afterwards, a perfect reminder of what grassroots football is all about. Smiles all around! 😊

What a fantastic afternoon our boys had at the Gwella Cup tournament! ⚽🏆

With a great performance from both teams producing some brilliant results in the league phase, they earned their places in separate semi-finals.

A well-drilled and tough AFC Flint side knocked one of our teams out in the semis, but the boys showed incredible character and immediately went to the other pitch to cheer on their teammates in the final against Aston Park Rangers Football Club.

The support from the boys and parents made all the difference, spurring them on to an amazing win in a penalty shootout! 🙌 Every penalty scored with confidence and some brilliant saves from our GK secured the victory, nerves of steel all around!

Well done to every single player, you’re doing your parents, coaches, teammates and sponsors proud every time you pull on the Castell Alun kit and represent the club 💚⚽️

Castell Alun U9s took on Borras Park Rangers this weekend in what was the boys’ first venture into 7-a-side football, and they showed exactly how well their hard work on the training ground is translating into match play.

Up against two strong Borras sides the Castell Alun lads passing, movement, and composure around the pitch was excellent, playing with real finesse and purpose. This led to two convincing wins, topping off a fantastic January of football for the team ⚽️

A big thank you to Borras Park Rangers for hosting, great pitches as always, and superb support from both coaches and parents.

We return to league action this weekend against Connah Quay Tigers.

Castell Alun Colts U9’s are looking to add some players to their successful squad for the coming season.

The boys play a great standard of football and are a friendly, welcoming bunch.

What a fantastic evening our football quiz was! We had a brilliant turnout and raised lots of funds for our U9s. A huge thank you goes to Nick and everyone involved, from securing the amazing raffle prizes to selling raffle tickets and football cards and for helping make the night so enjoyable!

Also a big thank you goes to everyone who donated raffle prizes, they went down a storm and were greatly appreciated!
