PRESENTATION NIGHT 2026:

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our presentation night on Friday to celebrate a fantastic first season of 11s for the boys!

Well done to all the boys who have put in so much hard work and effort over the course of the season which bodes well for next year!

Ben has settled in really well, contributing on the park and showing his quality straight away.

Ben joins our 2013 Reds 🔴

​Just wanted to share some player news with you all. Ben Robertson will be leaving the squad to join our 2013 Reds.

Ben has been such a brilliant part of our team. From day one, his attitude and application at every single training session and matches has been absolutely fantastic. He is the kind of player who always gives 100%, listens to advice, and works tirelessly for his teammates.

​There is no doubt that Ben is going to be a real asset to the Reds, both on and off the pitch. Ben has played in three games recently and has made an immediate impact by scoring goals, making assists and bringing his standards to the team.

While we are definitely going to miss his presence in our squad, but are also incredibly excited for him. We can’t wait to watch him keep developing, growing his game, and succeeding with the Reds

Thanks to everyone who supported the team by taking a bonus ball to be in with a chance of winning the signed pin flags from previous Men’s and Women’s Open winners Xander Schauffele and Lydia Ko.

We have not managed to sell all the balls so we have instead used a random number generator with all the sold numbers included.

The winning number was number 30 which belongs to Alan Ross, well done Alan!

Thanks again to Bob Watt for kindly donating the pin flags to the team, it’s greatly appreciated.

MONIFIETH ATHLETIC REDS 3-3 DRYBURGH MAROONS

Monifieth Reds were back in action this morning after a few weeks off due to the weather as we welcomed Dryburgh Maroons to Riverview.

The boys made a great start to the game and were well on top in the first half, playing some great football.

Finn gave the boys a deserved lead when he swept the ball low into the corner from just inside the box. Harris doubled the lead with a fantastic long range strike that gave the keeper no chance and Ayaan had the boys 3-0 up at the break when he finished well on the break.

Unfortunately the levels in the 2nd half weren’t where they were in the first half and Dryburgh grew into the game.

Dryburgh pulled one back ten minutes into the half but the boys settled down a bit but when Dryburgh made it 3-2 with a few minutes to go they were on the front foot and the boys struggled to keep hold of the ball.

Dryburgh then equalised with the last kick of the ball to take a point.

Credit goes to Dryburgh for going right to the end however in truth it’s a game we shouldn’t be dropping points in after getting ourselves into such a commanding position.

The boys were understandably disappointed at the end and we need to take the lessons from it to ensure we see games out from these positions.

We will be away to Broughty United next Sunday when the boys will be aiming put today’s game behind them and get back on track in a local derby!

Thanks to everyone who came along to support the team today, we’ll hopefully see you all at Whitton Park next week.
