Having heard and seen so much in my years as a coach I think this is a great idea. Check out the link and educate yourselves on the standards that are acceptable.

Get to know your coaches, ask questions about welfare, go and see the environment they'll be playing in. Don't just focus on the coaches either, who are the other players, what are their families like? This goes across all age groups.
