What a fantastic day, out riding around Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿and Northumberland
with an amazing bunch of special friends. Beautiful roads, incredible scenery, lots of laughs, and the kind of days you never forget.

It's hard to believe that today also marks a year since we had a bit of a party at home ! Where that year has gone, I have no idea—it really is true that time flies when you're having fun.

Feeling incredibly grateful for the friendships, the laughs, the crazy antics, and all the memories we've made together over the past year. Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend today. Here's to many more epic adventures! 🏍️🥂

Again …horse power to horse power ! 🐴🏍️

Fuel in the tank, chaos in the crew, and zero plans to behave! 😈🏍️ Here's to the daft nights, epic roads across Northumberland, loyal mates who always have your back, and making memories one ride at a time. Ride hard, laugh louder, and if you can't keep up... we'll wave as we disappear! 🤘🔥

And we are only half way through ! Who needs sleep anyway !!

🖤

Too hot for horses today but perfect for my other horsepower !

First time for a whole, I had A great little ride tonight and a stop at a local bike night, flying solo but loved every minute of it.

Please contact me about rearranging ❄️🌨️☃️
But let’s enjoy the weather all the same it’s only 184 days to Christmas !

☀️ **A little reminder during this week's hot weather...** ☀️

I know I'm used to working in much hotter climates, but our horses here are not always so accustomed to these temperatures. Please think carefully about your plans and workload this week, and always put your horse's welfare first.

✅ Ride, travel, and work horses early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler.

✅ Consider reducing the intensity or duration of exercise.

✅ Ensure plenty of fresh water is available at all times.

✅ Add wet mashes and electrolytes where appropriate to help maintain hydration.

✅ Be mindful of signs of heat stress and don't be afraid to change your plans if conditions become too much.

For those with clinics and lessons already booked in, please get in touch with me directly so we can discuss arrangements and make sure we're doing what's best for both horse and rider during the heat.

Stay safe and keep your horses cool! 🐴💦

Provide plenty of shade, whether that's in the field or stable.
Turn horses out overnight and bring them in during the hottest part of the day if possible.
Use fans in well-ventilated stables.
Hose horses down with cool water after exercise, focusing on large muscle groups, the neck, chest, and between the hind legs. Don't be afraid to keep applying water and scraping excess off before repeating.
Offer soaked hay or haylage to increase water intake.
Feed wet feeds or mashes to help with hydration.
Ensure water troughs and buckets are clean and kept topped up with fresh water.
Allow horses time to recover fully after exercise before travelling.
Avoid standing horses on hot horseboxes or trailers for extended periods.
Check older horses, young horses, overweight horses, and those with conditions such as EMS or Cushing's more frequently, as they can struggle more in hot weather.
Watch for signs of heat stress, including excessive sweating, rapid breathing, lethargy, reluctance to move, or elevated heart rate.

Couldn’t of been in a better place this morning at 4:55am to celebrate Father’s Day, back down south near my roots, with a spiritual experience for the summer solstice at the stones, felt very appropriate on this special Day. Miss u dad ❤️
