🏁 Holkham 70.3 / Outlaw Half — Stacey Atkins
What a strong day from Stacey at Holkham 70.3, putting together a gritty and well-executed performance across all three disciplines.
Swim: 2km — 49 mins
Bike: 89km — 3h36
Run: 21km — 2h41
Overall: around 7h09
This was a proper endurance test and Stacey handled it brilliantly. The swim was steady and controlled, the bike was managed well over the rolling North Norfolk roads, and then she dug in for a full half marathon off the bike — showing real discipline and commitment late in the day.
The standout for me is the overall ex*****on. This wasn’t just about getting round — it was another big confidence-builder on the road to Ironman Copenhagen. Every race like this teaches pacing, fuelling, transitions, patience, and how to keep moving when the body is tired.
A huge effort and another big step forward in the build.
Strong swim, steady bike, gritty run — Copenhagen confidence building nicely.

RUNSHACK RACE REPORT
LWAC 5K – Brian Hawkins
Time: 18:20
A strong midweek hit-out for Brian at the LWAC 5K, stopping the clock at 18:20 after a brave and committed run from the gun.
This race wasn’t approached as an A-goal race or full taper performance — it came off the back of another solid training block with plenty of quality still in the legs. The aim was simple: race hard, test fitness, and see where things currently stand.
Brian committed early and wasn’t afraid to take the race on, settling into aggressive pacing and holding PB pace through the opening stages. He stayed composed, raced with intent, and put himself in a position to challenge deep into the race.
The final mile became tough, as it always does in a hard-run 5K, but there were plenty of positives to take away. Most importantly, this felt like a performance with more still left in the tank.
That’s the exciting part.
18:20 is already a very strong run, but when you combine that with the current training load and the fact this wasn’t a specifically targeted race, it suggests there’s definitely more to come.
The speed is improving.
The aerobic engine is strong.
And the sharper race fitness is building nicely.
Another really encouraging performance and a great marker of where fitness currently sits.

RUNSHACK RACE REPORT
Athlete: Kev Pounder
Race: Ramathon Half Marathon
Result: 1:26:57
Position: 71st overall
Another very strong half marathon performance from Kev, finishing 71st overall in tough race-day conditions.
After the breakthrough run at Chester, the aim at Ramathon was to go in with confidence and see what was there. On paper, a flatter course gave the chance to chase another fast one, but race day had other ideas: warm spells when the sun came out, energy-sapping conditions, and a headwind along the river path.
Kev still delivered.
This was not a PB day, but it was absolutely a performance to be proud of. Running 1:26:57 when the conditions are working against you shows the level Kev is now operating at. Good runners do not only perform when everything is perfect — they compete, adapt, and still find a way to run strongly.
The key takeaway: this backs up the progress. Chester was the big PB breakthrough, but Ramathon proved that level was no fluke. To run within touching distance of that performance in harder conditions is a strong marker of consistency, fitness and race maturity.
A brilliant run, another strong result, and more evidence that Kev keeps moving forward.
Not every race gives you PB conditions — but strong runners still deliver.

Athlete: Eva Davidson
Race: RunThrough East Yorkshire Half Marathon
Date: Sunday 21 June 2026
What a performance from Eva Davidson at the RunThrough East Yorkshire Half Marathon — a huge PB, 2nd place overall, and another massive marker of just how well she is running right now.
Eva came into this one in fantastic form, but this was still a big step up — and she absolutely delivered. After a superb block of racing through the Summer League and Gordon Welbourn series, the goal was to turn that sharpness into a strong half marathon performance.
And she did exactly that.
A sub-1:40 attempt was the target, but Eva didn’t just sneak under it — she smashed through it, running 1:35:04 and taking nearly 10 minutes off her PB. That is a huge breakthrough and shows how much her fitness, confidence, strength, and race ex*****on have moved on.
This performance wasn’t a one-off. It’s the result of consistent training, smart racing, and a brilliant ability to keep showing up, adapting, and improving.
2nd place, a massive PB, and a performance that completely changes the level Eva now knows she belongs at.
From Paris Marathon strength to 5K series wins, and now a 1:35 half marathon — this is turning into a brilliant season.
Big PB, big confidence, and a runner moving to another level.
The biggest win here is not just the time — it’s the size of the breakthrough. Eva came in targeting sub-1:40 and left with 1:35:04, which shows the training is transferring brilliantly. Now the job is to recover well, absorb the result, and use this as the new benchmark moving forward. RunThrough | Running Events & Community

Bailey’s Runshack Race Report ⬇️
Athlete: Hannah Harding
Race: Windermere Marathon
Date: 14th June 2026
Hannah completed Windermere marathon which was never going to be an easy day out, and this year was no exception. Known for its relentless hills and stunning scenery, it’s a course that demands patience, strength, and smart pacing which Hannah delivered exactly that as planned.
Crossing the line in 3:55:39, Hannah put together a strong, disciplined run on one of the toughest marathon courses in the UK. On a route where the elevation can punish anyone who goes out too hard, she managed the terrain brilliantly, staying composed through the long climbs and making the most of the descents.
Her effort earned her 17th female overall, a result that reflects both her fitness and resilience. Windermere isn’t necessarily a course for chasing flat course PBs it’s a test of grit, and Hannah rose to it with another sub 4 this year.
A sub 4 on this course is a great achievement. To place in the top 20 women on such a demanding profile makes it even more impressive. A performance built on toughness, smart ex*****on, and determination.
A brilliant day’s work and proof that hilly marathons build strong marathoners like Hannah Harding ! Well done Hannah 🥳
