2026-27 Network SIGN UP Announcement 📣

We are delighted to announce that both Basildon and St Joseph’s are the next two schools to have signed up to the 2026–27 SA Sports Network!

Basildon have attended 6 of our events so far, performing superbly at everything, with highlights including a triumphant win in the Y5/6 Girls Football Cup, a 2nd place finish at our Y3/4 Track Day and Y5/6 Golf event, as well as taking the bronze ranking at our Y5/6 Track Day, Y5/6 Multisports Showdown and KS2 X-Country relays! They’ve had podium finishes at everything!! We look forward to welcoming them at a lot more events next year!

We are equally delighted to welcome St Joseph’s to the Network. Having not attended an SA Sports event before, they are officially joining Whitelands Park as our second new school. We appreciate their support and look forward to hosting them!

SA Sports ‘Star Sportsperson of the Week’ ⭐

We are delighted to announce that, starting next week, we will be introducing our Star Sportsperson of the Week initiative!

There are so many ways in which a student can earn this certificate. It could be for an outstanding performance at a SA Sports School Network event, fantastic efforts within a PE lesson or simply demonstrating the basics of resilience, teamwork or kindness at one of our morning clubs. Every student that we work with has the opportunity to be recognised as an SA Sports Star Sportsperson.

We look forward to announcing our winner, or winners, every Friday afternoon as part of our weekly club roundup posts!

Autumn Term 1 Morning Clubs Confirmed 🙌

We are delighted to be continuing our morning clubs at both Francis Baily and Curridge next half term, with two brand new sports!

All information was sent out by office staff of the respective schools before the summer holidays. If you missed any info, please contact us.

We look forward to receiving plenty of sign-ups before the w/c 7th September when the clubs all start!

2026-27 School Sports Network 🔜

We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved this year, with 24 events, cups and leagues throughout our first academic year.

However, we already cannot wait for next year!!! 64 events, 10 cups and 8 leagues, covering 26 different sports! It’ll be busy, but we cannot wait to share all the success with you!

Student Attendance & Opportunities 2025-26 🔢

Across our 24 events, cups and leagues this year, we’re proud to announce the final statistics, showing that we provided over 1500 student opportunities to represent their school throughout the academic year.

This makes us especially excited next year, with 82 events, cups and leagues already in the diary and the potential for over 5000 student opportunities in 2026-27! 🙌

SA Sports School End of Year Awards 🛡️ Part 9/9

School of the Year 🥇

SA Sports are delighted to announce that John Rankin Primary has been awarded our School of the Year Award for the 2025-26 academic year.

From the first event to the last, across the 22 events, cups and leagues they competed in this year, John Rankin have been consistently fantastic. Their determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout every event has been exemplary, resulting in them earning 10 trophies along the way.

Backed by a dedicated staff team, with an important mention going to Mr Crane, who continually ensures that all John Rankin children are given a fair and equal opportunity to participate in school sport. From training for upcoming events to regularly communicating and checking in on his students, he consistently imbeds the importance of both competitiveness and friendly participation, alongside ensuring children know the difference between the two.

Congratulations John Rankin, a thoroughly deserved award! 👏

This brings our 2025-26 End of Year awards to a close. We hope you’ve enjoyed celebrating the successes of the fantastic individuals and schools in the local area. We look forward to recognising even more achievements next year! 🙌

SA Sports School End of Year Awards 🛡️ Part 8/9

Most Improved School of the Year 🥇

SA Sports are delighted to announce that Battle Primary has been awarded our Most Improved School of the Year Award for the 2025-26 academic year.

At the start of the academic year, Battle Primary was a school we had never previously worked with or heard of even. Fast forward to the end of the year where they have gone on to win multiple trophies, highlighting Y3/4 Track Day & Y5/6 Basketball Cup to name a few.

Week after week, Battle Primary continued to improve at our events. Having attended 13, it is clear that the pupils are eager to learn, improve, compete and win. Backed by a dedicated staff team, with a special mention going to Mr Hancock, investing in countless hours and dedication within school sport, the children clearly have outstanding role models to inspire them.

Congratulations Battle, a thoroughly deserved award! 👏

Indoor games also included Speedstacking, colouring, Table Football, Mini Kurling, Connect 4 and many more mini games and puzzles!

Big thank you to Thatcham Rugby Club for the use of their amazing facilities throughout the week. Another thank you to Mark, one of the Thatcham RFC coaches, for his fantastic coaching expertise for another morning!

We welcomed over 80 bookings throughout the week. We were extremely pleased to welcome 17 🆕 SA Sports children for the first time out of 29 different individuals. We look forward to hopefully seeing you all in the future.

Thank you everyone for the support throughout the week.
