Great to visit to Chesterton AFC’s ground next to Red Street Community Centre to see first-hand the fantastic work the club has already done to improve its facilities.

We also had really positive discussions about the club’s exciting plans for the future and how these ambitions can continue to benefit local players, supporters, and the wider community.

👍 Officers from Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council have already met with the club’s dedicated volunteers to explore how the Council can support and help turn these plans into a reality.

Community clubs like Chesterton AFC play a vital role locally and it’s brilliant to see the passion and commitment driving them forward. 👏⚽️

A great example of Civic Pride

It is with great sadness that the club has been asked to post with regard to the passing of Lenny Barnett. Lenny started the club back in 1969 as Butchers Arms FC. Rest in Peace Len.

What a great guy.
