🏆 We came, we saw, we probably need a knee replacement. 🏆
Audley Parish Bowling Club is officially celebrating winning the league for the THIRD time in four years! 🥇🥇🥇 (The year we lost? We don’t talk about that. It was a dark time, filled with suspicious bowls and too many biscuits.)
Our secrets?
1️⃣ Precision.
2️⃣ Technique.
3️⃣ And a collective age that makes us eligible for a group discount at the post office.
They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but you can teach them to win a bowling championship over and over again. We’re not just champions, we’re a force of nature... or at least a force of slightly stiff joints and unshakeable confidence.
Special thanks to our physios, our spouses (who are still waiting for us to "just pop down for one end"), and to gravity for mostly playing ball.
So, here’s to us, the champions! Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to go soak our feet and prepare for next season's dominance. We may be getting older, but our bowls are still right on target. 🍻🎳

As we come towards the end of the 2026 season, what a year it has been for Audley Bowling Club!

A huge congratulations to Audley 1, who have retained their Wednesday League title, and to all our teams who have performed so well throughout the season. Plenty of great bowling, competitive matches and, as always, plenty of stories to tell afterwards!

The green… or should I say the beach… has certainly tested everyone’s skills and patience at times this year! But despite the challenging conditions, the club has continued to thrive.

And that is because Audley Bowling Club is much more than just a sports club. It’s an extended family.

We are also incredibly proud to have two members who are both over 100 years young – Charles and Dennis. If ever there was an advertisement for getting out, keeping active and playing bowls, surely these two gentlemen are it!

So, if you’re thinking of trying something new in 2027, why not come and join us? You might improve your bowling, make some great friends and, if Charles and Dennis are anything to go by, you could still be playing over 100 years later!

Here’s to finishing 2026 on a high and welcoming some new faces into the Audley Bowling Club family in 2027.

Who knows… by then we might even have a green instead of a beach! 😂🏖️🎳

Due to the recent “heatwave”, Audley Bowling Club is proud to announce the opening of Audley Village Beach! 🌞😂

Forget Spain… forget Cornwall… we’ve got:
🏖️ Golden “sand”
🍹 Plenty of refreshments
😎 Sun loungers (well… benches!)
🎯 Crown green bowls instead of beach volleyball
⚫ And if you’re lucky, you might even dodge a flying wood!

No need to pack your passport – just your bowls and a sense of humour! 😄

At the halfway stage, it’s a brilliant achievement to see:�🥇 Audley 1 sitting proudly top of the league with an outstanding 9 wins from 10�🥈 Audley 2 right behind in second place, making it a clean sweep at the summit!
This is a testament to the hard work, consistency, and team spirit across both sides 👏

🏆 A brilliant achievement for our Audley Parish Bowling Club Ladies! 🏆

Our fantastic ladies team finished as Runners Up in 2025 — a result built on teamwork, determination, plenty of laughs and some excellent bowling along the way.

We’re incredibly proud of every player who represented the club and helped make it such a memorable season. The shield may say runners up, but this team are absolute winners in our eyes! 💚
