U12 COUNTY CUP RUNNERS UP 🏆💚🖤

A fantastic effort from our Year 7 squad, who unfortunately just fell short against a talented Walbottle side in the County Cup Final.

The boys produced a brilliant performance and should be incredibly proud of their achievement in reaching the final of such a prestigious competition.

It has been a superb year of development for the squad, who have made immense progress both individually and collectively, while continuing to represent the academy with pride, commitment and professionalism throughout the season.

Well done, boys — a brilliant achievement and plenty to look forward to in the future 👏⚽

Congratulations to our four, Year 8 students winning the District Cup at the weekend⚽️💚

To represent your district is an achievement in itself but to then go on and be pivotal players in a cup winning side is an even bigger accomplishment🏆

To have four players in one age group selected for the district team shows the strength in depth we have in the Year 8 squad. Well done to Thomas, Frankie, Levi, Josh and the rest of the Newcastle District U13s side 🔥🏆

On Friday we took a squad of U13 and a squad of U15 girls to compete in girls football event. The event was a superb opportunity for some of our talented young girls to perform in front of some talent ID scouts from NUFC👀 ⚽️

The event was superbly ran by and we are so grateful that we were invited to participate👏🏻

Our U15s, won one game, drew 3 and lost 2. But considering two of the girls were playing 2 years up and four were playing 1 year up this was a very good achievement🔥

Our U13s reached the final against a very strong St Joseph’s side. Again, the 13s only had two players at their own age and five playing one year up. We girls battled incredibly hard but unfortunately fell short to a narrow 2-1 score line😭

Well done girls, we are all so proud of you💚

MOTASEM MAKES HIS INTERNATIONAL DEBUT 🇱🇾💫

Huge congratulations to former football student Motasem Lamah, who made his international debut for Libya this week against Algeria.

“Mota” was an integral part of the Class of 2025, a group that has firmly established itself as one of the most successful teams to ever represent Walker Riverside.

Everyone at Walker Riverside is incredibly proud of you and this fantastic achievement. Making your international debut is a huge milestone — and this is only the beginning of the journey.
