Intentional Abuse is real and predators walk among us. It’s way more common than you’d like to believe. Family members, work colleagues, partners etc… To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Knowledge is power. This is one of the most concise and informative videos I’ve watched on the subject of social predators/ psychopaths. As a Psychologist I have studied psychopathy and have like many of us been targeted by these social predators. Everyone needs to watch this fantastic podcast male and female alike 🙏🏼

Sharp in Training. Flat on Fight Night?

Months of work in camp, and it doesn't show when it counts. That's not a fitness problem. It's a glitch in the system, and it can be fixed.

I work with fighters on composure under pressure, pre and post performance routines, rest and recovery, breathwork, competitive anxiety and mental wellbeing, so they arrive on fight night fully prepared, calm, sharp and ready.

Jeff Saunders, professional boxer and BKFC fighter: "Marnie really helped to keep my mind focused in camp and with everyday life problems."

New research worth sharing. The International Olympic Committee has just published its 2026 consensus statement on mental health in elite athletes, developed by 31 international experts.

What they found:

Mental health symptoms and disorders are common in elite athletes, at rates similar to, and in some cases higher than, the general population. Sport itself can be a cause, through training environments, injury, performance pressure and the culture around it. And mental health has an effect on performance, with or without a diagnosis.

Their recommendation is proactive, routine support rather than waiting for a crisis. This is exactly the approach I have used for 20 years with elite professionals, athletes, coaches, poker players and corporate teams.

Train your mind with the same intent you train your body.

Do you train your mind as deliberately as you train your body?

"They told the people in the car that I was dead."

On the 20th of August 1999, Andrew Jenkins was pronounced dead at the side of the road. He had lost six pints of blood. He had two transfusions on the tarmac, and the fire brigade had to lift the car off him before anyone could work on him.

He spent four weeks in a coma and four months in hospital. When he woke, the surgeons told him he would never walk again. He walked in two weeks.

That is the story people remember. What we spend most of this conversation on is what came afterwards: the years he carried it without talking to anyone, and what changed when he finally did.

In my work, the injury is rarely the whole story. The body is treated in hospital. The loss of identity, the change in who you thought you were, is usually left for the person to work out on their own, often for years.

Andrew now speaks publicly with one aim: to reduce the rate of su***de in men.
