Newcastle City Juniors U11s Lionesses 26/27

A fantastic effort from our Lionesses today at the PUFC U11s Girls Tournament 🦁⚽

In scorching conditions, the girls showed incredible determination and teamwork to reach the Gold Cup Final 💪🏼 ☀️

They put in a tremendous performance in the final against top opposition, holding them to a goalless draw for the majority of the game and pushing right until the very end. We thought we might be heading to penalties, but it wasn’t to be this time.

Most importantly, the girls represented NCJ brilliantly both on and off the pitch, showing quality, character, and togetherness throughout the day 👏🖤🤍

So proud of every single one of them - the effort, attitude, and resilience shown today was outstanding. Alongside the Smiles and the Ice Lollies! 😃 🍦

What a season from our No.1 🧤🔥
Savannah has been unreal all year, pulling off phenomenal saves and earning countless Player of the Match awards along the way.

She was also awarded the club’s Special Outstanding Goalkeeper Award for her efforts throughout the season - battling back from injury, stepping in for other club teams, and being tremendous for our Lionesses between the sticks 👏🏻 🦁

One of the very best around and a fantastic role model for the team ❤️

Tilly has been outstanding all season, excelling in multiple positions, scoring important goals, and never stopping running for her team.
She was also awarded the Northumberland Football League Outstanding Player of the Season for her performances in the boys division with our Lionesses 👏🏻 ⚽

A true team player and so deserving of this award 🦁 🙌🏼

🦁 A fantastic evening for our Lionesses as we welcomed Newcastle United ETC to Newcastle City Juniors for a round-robin event ⚽

The evening featured our NCJ U9 Lionesses, U10 Lionesses, and U10 NUFC ETC, with all the girls playing some brilliant football and showing fantastic attitudes throughout 👏🏻

Our first game against the U9 Lionesses ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw in a fast-paced and competitive match 💪🏼

We then faced the U10 NUFC ETC girls, going behind early on before responding brilliantly with some excellent linking play and determination to earn a well-deserved 1-1 draw 🔥

A huge thank you to Newcastle United for the opportunity - a brilliant way to round off our season 🖤🤍

🦁 Newcastle City Juniors Girls Academy Cup 🏆

💃 What a Day! ⚽

So proud of every single one of our Newcastle City Juniors Lionesses today ❤️ 🖤🤍

We finished 4th out of 12 teams, competing against academies from all over the UK - an incredible achievement in itself 👏🏻 🔥

After a long, tough day of football, we reached the Plate Final, where we were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Hearts - a team we had already beaten earlier in the group stages. On another day, with a fully fit squad, I truly believe we lift that trophy 💪🏼

The girls gave everything for each other from the first whistle to the last - battling through knocks and injuries, showing heart, determination, and togetherness all day long 🖤🤍

But Not all treasure is Silver and Gold in medals and trophies… It’s about the memories we create, the bonds/friendships we build, and the journey we’re on together!
And this group is something really special ❤️

I’m so proud to say I coach this team.
