Marriage law could be changing!! The long awaited Law Commissioner’s report is out - and Independent Celebrants are mentioned as one of the groups who may be recognised as Officiants and able to conduct legal ceremonies- watch this space!!!

The relaxation in the law allowing legal ceremonies to take place outdoors at approved venues has been made permanent. But remember this does not mean couples will have a more personalised ceremony.

We were interviewed by BBC Spotlight just before Christmas talking about the Give Couples Choice Movement and proposed changes to marriage law which could allow Independent Celebrants to legally marry couples and it was shown today! The clip which includes us speaking starts about 16 minutes into the programme. Thanks to Lara & Matt @launcellsbarton and to Rachel & Damien who allowed their beautiful weddings to be featured.
