Hi shipmates!

Back to the hard work in preparation for Phase 3 of the transformation!

Phase 1 : Remove all steel plates and gear - 99% Complete
Phase 2 : Renovate completely the hull and deck - 70% Complete
Phase 3 : Move to Falmouth & Build the three decks - About to start
Phase 4 : Step and rig the masts - 2016

So we are looking for volunteers to come and try out our newly refurbished bunks and bedding and help us in our last effort to complete the renovation phase.

We promise nothing but hard work - Except of course: oodles of fun, personal achievement, food and lodgings, claiming your part in maritime history, and learning new skills.

No experience required - a good sense for adventure and fun essential. (Oh, and bring whatever you like to drink!)

Den internasjonale mannskap på TS Silver Quest vil snart bli æret ved tilsetning av en tids servert Viking. Stian Christofferson kommer til å gi opp de frosne vintre i Norge for vår skrullete Kernow himmelstrøk for å hjelpe oss å bygge den neste fasen av TS Silver Quest. Vi ønsker å takke ham sterkt for hans engasjement, tro og eventyrlystne hjerte og å ønske den første TS Silver Quest Kokk!

Stian har beilet oss i løpet av de siste årene med sine jevnlige besøk, hauger av interessante deler av dyr, og hans ekspert kulinariske ferdigheter, etter at jeg møtte ham å forsvare sin Oslo storbåt "Gaia" fra min pirater i Bretagne et par år tilbake.

(Vi endelig tok besittelse av nevnte fartøy på andre forsøk, men temperamentet til denne mannen hadde allerede blitt bevist.)

Så vennligst forberede dere for en godt befestet skipets mannskap i 2015, servert av det beste Norge har å by på, og klare dere selv for invasjonen av Kernow med: -

"DEN STORE VINTERSOLVERV VIKING INVASJON".

The international crew of TS Silver Quest will soon be honoured by the addition of a time-served Viking. The great Stian Christofferson is going to give up the frozen winters of Norway for our balmy Cornish climes to help us build the next stage of TS Silver Quest.

We would like to thank him greatly for his commitment, faith, and adventurous heart and to welcome the first official TS Silver Quest Cook!

Stian has wooed us over the past few years with his regular visits, piles of interesting animal parts, and his expert culinary skills, after I met him defending his Oslo longboat "Gaia" from my marauding pirates in Brittany a couple years back.

(We finally took possession of said vessel on the second attempt, but the mettle of this man had already been proven.)

So please prepare yourselves for a well-fortified ship's crew in 2015, served by the best Norway has to offer, and ready yourselves for the invasion of Cornwall with:-

"The Great Winter Solstice Viking Invasion".
