If you’ve ever tried to lose fat, build muscle, or both at the same time, you’ve already been working towards what is known as body recomposition.
Rather than focusing purely on the number on the scales, body recomposition is about changing the ratio of fat to muscle in your body. It’s one of the most effective ways to improve your health, strength, confidence, and long-term fitness.
The truth is, improving your body composition usually requires some adjustments to both your nutrition and your training. But it’s not always as simple as eating less and exercising more.
At its most basic level, weight loss requires a calorie deficit — burning more energy than you consume. However, weight loss should never be confused with fat loss.
Many people lose weight only to discover they’ve also lost valuable muscle mass along the way.
At Nutrimental, our focus is helping people build and maintain muscle while reducing body fat, creating a stronger, healthier, more capable body for years to come.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing daily informational blogs covering topics like body recomposition, strength training, nutrition, recovery, mindset, and much more.
If you’d like to learn how to lose fat without sacrificing muscle, keep an eye on our page. The first blog is coming very soon. 👊🏼

Comment YES if you think Movement is best medicine there is …
Some women don’t train because they’re obsessed with how they look.
They train because they love how it makes them feel.
More energy.
A better mood.
Less stress.
More confidence.
A stronger, healthier body for the years ahead.
For many of us, the gym isn’t punishment. It’s self-care.
After everything I’ve been through, I don’t show up because I’m chasing perfection. I show up because I know what it feels like to lose my health, and I never want to take feeling strong for granted again.
I know what it’s like to have no energy.
To feel disconnected from your own body.
To spend so much time looking after everyone else that you forget to look after yourself.
So if you see a woman consistently choosing the gym, don’t assume she’s obsessed with how she looks.
She’s investing in her future.
She’s protecting her health.
She’s building a body that will carry her through the years ahead.
And most importantly…
She’s choosing herself on purpose. 🧡💪
I’m not everything I want to be yet.
But I am a lot of things I once wished I could be.
And when I really stop and think about it… I’m a lot closer than I was six or seven years ago.
What a powerful thing that is to realise.
Before I was just trying to get through the day.
Trying to heal.
Trying to feel like myself again.
Trying to figure out what life looked like after everything my body, mind, and heart had been through.
Back then, the woman I am now probably felt a million miles away.
Because the truth is, I wasn’t exercising.
I wasn’t sleeping.
I wasn’t looking after myself.
I spent my time looking after everyone else while completely neglecting the one person who needed me most… me.
I had a terrible relationship with myself.
I was my own harshest critic.
I doubted myself constantly.
And if I’m honest, some of my relationships with others reflected the relationship I had with myself.
I was running on empty, yet somehow convincing myself I just needed to keep giving more.
But healing taught me something.
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
You can’t hate yourself into becoming someone you love.
And you can’t keep waiting for life to change while refusing to change the things within your control.
So I started small.
A walk.
A workout.
An earlier night.
A better choice.
One promise to myself, followed by another.
Nothing dramatic.
Just small acts of self-respect repeated over and over again.
And those small things changed everything.
Today, my life isn’t perfect.
I still have goals.
I still have days where I doubt myself.
I still have work to do.
But I’m stronger.
Healthier.
Happier.
More confident.
More at peace.
And most importantly, I have a much better relationship with the woman staring back at me in the mirror.
So if you’re reading this and feeling a million miles away from the person you want to become, keep going.
You don’t have to become that person overnight.
You just have to become a little closer each day.
One day you’ll look back and realise that the life you once dreamed about quietly became the life you’re living.
And that’s a beautiful thing.

They came for the workouts… stayed for the unsolicited life advice 😂
Because apparently personal training now includes relationship advice, career chats, life coaching, and the occasional free therapy session in between sets 💀
But real coaching isn’t just about what happens in the gym.
Sometimes it’s pushing for that extra rep…
Sometimes it’s reminding people they’re doing better than they think they are.
At Nutrimental Fitness we know strength isn’t only physical.
People need support, honesty, accountability, confidence… and sometimes just someone in their corner.
So whether you need a workout, a pep talk, or a full mid-session life reset…
We’ve got you 💪🏼
Comment “LIFE RESET” and let’s get started.
I'm training to be strong.
Strong enough to carry myself with confidence.
Strong enough to handle hard things.
Strong enough to become the woman I know I can be.
That's what lifting weights gave me.
If you believe strong is powerful too, hit like, save this post, and share it to your story.
