Many times because people are not aware of what food products are actually good sources of protein!

When designing a weights program for yourself, to get the most “bang for your buck” try and base the majority of exercises around your compound movements.
By compound movements we talk about the exercises that engage multiple muscle groups at the one time.
Of course there is a place for isolation exercises, those exercises that target just individual muscle groups. But the core of your workout plan should incorporate your compound movements, and then you can build the rest around that structure.
Following on from the post on adding positive habits into your daily routine, as the way to make sustained change!
Check out six examples of positive habits you can add, that you will generally find with people that prioritise staying lean, fit and healthy.

So many people now put such a huge focus on performing a full overhaul of their daily routine! They want to make a change to their health & fitness, but think the way to do that is make all the drastic changes at once!
The problem with this approach is it is always short lived. If you are not training, or eating particularly well. Jumping from that base, to training 4-5 times per week and overhauling your eating habits to cut back massively and move into a huge calorie deficit!
While you will undoubtably see progress in the first few weeks, you will most likely be extremely miserable during the process! This will inevitably lead to stopping all, as without any level of enjoyment it will never lead to a sustainable change.
It is a mistake so many people make and this then leads them around in circles, constantly starting and stopping without being able to nail down a sustainable routine!
What I would say to anyone looking to get started on your journey. If you are coming right now from a dead stop, don’t use the all or nothing approach!
Try initially to make small, positive changes to your daily routine. Once you have been able to nail these down daily for a few weeks, then you can start to build from there and progress things further!
Don’t think all in or all out! Make a small change to your habits, perform it until it becomes part of your routine, and then move forward from there!😁💪

The "Get Strong" program is a small group class, for intermediate to advanced trainers, who are interested in improving their overall strength and lifting technique.
The program runs on a 4 week block, Tuesday and Thursday mornings 7-7:45am. The next program kicks off July 20th.
All of the main compound lifts are covered over the course of the program, and block to block we continue to advance.
