I did none of this…

Not on my own at least.

For years I was on my own thinking I knew more than I really did fresh out of university.

Constantly in and out of trial and error wasting money on what I thought was the correct way forward but always ended up back where I started.

It was only when I made the investment into a coach did I really see the return on any fitness investment I had made.

This wasn’t a fad 6 or 12 week challenge or some basic exercise program that took me to where I am today, it was the accountability, trust and different perspective that I was investing in.

I was busy, building my own coaching business, expanding education, social life etc I wasn’t putting the time needed into planning my own training.

I dropped my ego.

I opened my eyes and ears to everything I was paying my coach to do, and that was to keep me headed in the right direction and to educate me as an athlete and coach.

I began to learn, I took elements and lessons from my coach was telling me and saw a direct progression in my expertise of coaching, I was building my business whilst building my fitness at the same time.

So yes, although the work comes down to the individual, a coach who thinks they know how it feels to coach without ever investing in one themselves is a path I’m glad I am not a part of.

Just want to use this time to appreciate the boys Red On Coaching for what they have done for me this last year, happy 1 year chaps 🔴🔴
