The 22nd Northampton Boys' Brigade has been working with boys & young men in Far Cotton for over 90 years.

The BB is a family, we believe children & young people should experience 'Life to the Full' as they learn, grow & discover in a safe environment.

It is with great sadness in our hearts here at the 22nd to share the sad news that David Haynes passed away at the weekend . Dave, Uncle David or Mr Haynes as he was known to us has been part of the 22nds family from his youth when he was a young man in the company to becoming a leader and an advocate of Boys' Brigade not only at Towcester Road but as an organisation.
There will be many of you who have been blessed by David's love, care & commitment to BB through Company nights & especially his joy in joining us at BB Camps. Today we give thanks to God for his service and dedication to the 22nd and The Boys' Brigade ⚓ He lived his life to the full & most definitely had a faith that was Sure & Steadfast.
A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, 10th July, 3.00pm at Towcester Rd Methodist Church. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very sad time.

Well what a day!

We left Northampton in the rain to head to Twinlakes for our Juniors' day of fun and adventures, to arrive with dry weather 🌥

We enjoyed loads of rides, our picnic lunch, more rides and play areas, our leaders embraced the fun too...
It was great to share the day with our friends from the 7th Northampton Boys' Brigade and offer a huge 'thank you' to Northamptonshire Boys' Brigade for organising our awesome day.

It was great to be back at BB and this evening our Anchors and Juniors had a visit from a very special dog.

We met Nieve, Emily's Medical Detection dog who helps keep her safe when she begins to feel really unwell. We learned that Nieve has a very sensitive nose to help her do this special job.
They got creative designing a new coat for her and had lots of fun playing games too.
Thank you Nieve, Emily and Jono for your visit, it was good to hear all about the good work MDD do for people 😊

Company & Seniors took on the challenge of 'The answer is our there' and used their imagination as well as initiative to come by their answers.

So good for us to share together- we missed those of you who couldn't make itc and hope to see you next week

We are blessed to have such amazing volunteer leaders here at the 22nd, thank you for all you do for us....You are superstars!!!💫

Today marks the start of Volunteers' Week and we want to say a huge thank you to our 6,500+ volunteer leaders for all they do! 🙌

In communities across the country our children and young people are provided with opportunities to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment, which wouldn't be possible without the tireless dedication of our volunteers.

Keep an eye on our social media channels throughout this week as we'll be sharing stories from some of our volunteers of why they do what they do!

What an extremely hot but amazing weekend it has been for two of our young people and leaders camping at The Boys' Brigade UK & RoI, Unite with the theme of 'Hope'

Loads to do for us

🍰🔵bake off
Mega mayhem
Creative Calm
Unite's Got Talent
Stone painting and journalling
🕺outdoor silent disco for our leader in charge
🔴Unite Code Red and much more

Plenty of food to eat, ice lollies to keep us cool and fantastic company as we shared with friends from the 6th Northampton, 21st Northampton Boys' Brigade groups and the 3rd Northampton Girls Brigade in our Blue Village.

Our thanks go to all the volunteers who made us feel at home and to all those on the planning and setting up teams. You are awesome!!

It was Team Game challenges for our Anchors and Juniors this evening
🏃‍♂️running relays
⚽️ tunnel ball
⚽️under and over
Through the hoop relays and 🚦Traffic Lights to finish.
✝️ We reflected on the story of Pentecost recognising we can learn about Jesus in many different languages. 🖼We also got creative drawing the adventures we are hoping to have in half term...

Company and Seniors reflected on life being like a deck of cards, we don't know what hand will be dealt but with Jesus as our friend we can face that ✝️
Games of ping pong, table football and darts filled the rest of the evening.

Thank you lads and leaders for another fun filled, action packed term.
Enjoy your half term break and we'll see you back on Wednesday, 3rd June
