ππ PASS IT ON - Session Three ππ
Last night we held our 3rd PASS IT ON Mentor Session, focusing on:
Resilience & Dealing with Setbacks.
It was a powerful session that really challenged the girls to think outside their comfort zones, reflecting on how they respond to tough moments, how they support others, and how setbacks can shape stronger leaders.
For those who may not know, PASS IT ON is our girlsβ mentor and leadership programme, designed to develop confidence, communication and leadership skills within our older players, while strengthening the connection across the whole girlsβ section. Itβs about growing people, not just rugby players.
Weβve got some exciting opportunities coming up that will benefit the entire girlsβ pathway at Bugbrookeβ¦ watch this space

ππ Sunshine & Smiles for Our U12s! ππ
Finallyβ¦ some sunshine! βοΈ
Our U12 girls enjoyed a brilliant afternoon of end-to-end rugby against Old Northamptonians, with some fantastic rugby on display from both sides.
The effort, energy and commitment from our girls was outstanding. They continue to give 100% every single week, backing each other, playing with confidence and showing real Badger spirit.
We couldnβt be prouder of this group. The future of girlsβ rugby, and the Badger pathway, is shining bright πππ¦‘

ππ Proud of Our U16 Badgers ππ
A huge well done to our U16 girls who competed at the U16 Girls Saints Club Cup this weekend, representing their cluster side.
The results may not have gone their way on the day, but the effort, attitude and pride in wearing the Badger badge were clear to see.
We were told there were:
π Brilliant tackles going in
π A well-worked try finished with confidence
π Great assists and a kick that had everyone talking
Moments to be proud of across the board.
Win or lose, itβs about growth, experience, and flying the Badgers flag wherever rugby takes you. And thatβs exactly what they did.
Super proud πππ¦‘

Itβs been great to see:

π Sharp ball skills
π Big communication
π Strong, dominant tackling
π Players working hard off 10
π Real pace and intent out wide
The standards are rising every week, and the effort from this group does not go unnoticed. Weβre building really well towards the next fixture and continuing to grow as a squad.

ππ Stepping Up Off the Pitch ππ
This week one of our U16 girls helped support a Saints Community Camp, and we couldnβt be prouder.
Some players shy away from opportunities like this. She grabbed it with both hands.
Giving up her time, supporting younger players, representing the club with confidence and maturity, thatβs what the Badger pathway is all about. Not just developing rugby players, but developing young leaders.
Brilliant to see her stepping outside her comfort zone and embracing the opportunity. The future is bright.

ππ Is anyone else just a little bit bored of the rain now?! ππ
Waterlogged pitches. Muddy boots. Training rearranged more times than we can countβ¦
We are more than ready for firmer, drier ground and those crisp Sundays where the ball actually bounces the right way!
But if thereβs one thing we know about our Badger Girlsβ¦ a bit of mud (or a lot of it!) doesnβt stop them. The effort, the smiles, the team spirit, itβs all still there, rain or shine.
We cannot wait to get back out there properly and watch this girls section absolutely rip it up on solid ground.
Sun, weβre ready when you are.

ππ Barry the Badger Update! ππ
Our U12 mascot Barry has been very busy again this week, heβs clearly living his best life!
This weekβs adventures included:
A trip to the wholesalers
A quick visit to Gatwick Airport
Playing with some (very supervised!) guns
Eating plenty of cake
Snuggles by the fire
And, of course, a well-earned Starbucks stop
Barry certainly knows how to keep himself entertained between matches and training! Canβt wait to see where he ends up next week π¦‘ππ

ππ Supporting One of Our Own ππ
As a club, we are coming together to support one of our families during an incredibly difficult time.
In January 2026, Matthew Mason sadly lost his beloved wife Hayley, and their daughter Lily-May lost her mum. Many of you will know Hayley from the sidelines. She lived for girlsβ rugby, and nothing made her happier than cheering on the Badgers from the touchline. Her support, warmth, and encouragement were felt by so many around the club. Lily-May is a valued member of our U14 girls squad, and our hearts are very much with her and her family.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help ease some of the financial pressures Matthew and Lily-May may face, allowing them the time and space to grieve, heal, and adjust to life without Hayley.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it would be hugely appreciated. If youβre unable to give, please consider sharing the page.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support. Letβs show what the Badger family is all about.

ππ U12 Training Update ππ
After what feels like forever, our U12 Girls finally got back on the grass for training!
Using the portable lights and giving the main training area a well-earned rest, the girls put in a brilliant session with excellent attitude and energy throughout. Great effort from everyone and plenty of smiles despite the cold and wet conditions.
And the perfect way to finish the evening⦠warming up together in the clubhouse and swapping Northampton Saints cards, because rugby is about the moments off the pitch as well as on it.
Proud of this group ππ¦‘π

ππ MATCH REPORT β U14 BADGER GIRLS ππ
The weather did its best to call the shots, but in true Badger fashion the game went ahead⦠and what a game it was!
We were delighted to host Bedford/Rushden for a cracking match of rugby despite the wet and challenging conditions. Both teams showed great resilience, skill, and spirit, producing a brilliant contest from start to finish.
Our U14 girls were outstanding. They adapted to the conditions, worked hard for each other, and showed exactly what this squad is about. Effort, teamwork, and plenty of moments to be proud of.
Massive credit to all the girls for sticking at it and putting on such a great display, and thank you to Bedford/Rushden for a fantastic game played in the right spirit.
