What a game that was!
We started off really well and capitalised on our chances early. The boys worked hard and really put in a shift.

The biggest takeaway was our incredible defence — those guys put everything on the line. What an absolute tank performance from all of you! 👏

As we all know, Teq are an incredible team, and once they get going, they’re hard to stop. They played really well and completely took control in the second half.

We keep pushing through the ups and downs, and this was definitely a good week for us.

To Hunsbury Hawks—thank you for today. You’re a great bunch of lads, and we wish you the best for the rest of the season. I’m sure you’ll feel a little disappointed not to have come away with more, because you played really well. 👊

I want to start by saying a massive thank you to everyone who came to support us on the sidelines today. Having you there gives us real motivation, and seeing the community come together for us is a truly special feeling!

That said, today’s officiating was unacceptable. Refereeing of that standard should have no place in this league. The referee’s primary duty is to maintain the safety and wellbeing of the players — and the negligence to do so today has resulted in a young man being taken to hospital. For 70 minutes our players were repeatedly put at risk, until it ended with that awful moment of hearing a boy screaming in agony.
