As temperatures are steadily increasing and it’s unpredictable whether we can comfortably run on a weekly basis it’s time for us to take a little break for the summer. The page will look to reopen again later in the year.

As a result of an incident during last week’s Barkrun, which we have addressed with those involved, we feel it necessary to remind all of those running with us that we share the lovely parkland with other members of the public and as such must take care when meeting and passing them.
Please find below some reminders on the appropriate etiquette when passing others using the park:
- Come back to a walk.
- Pull your dog into your side.
- Call out and ask if it’s ok to come past.
- Wait for them to catch their dog up, put it back on a lead (hopefully) or at least to be aware of your presence.
- Walk past giving a wide berth where possible and say “Thank you” before resuming your run.
- Always be polite. We know that we are sometimes met with a degree of hostility from other dog walkers. Regardless of this please ALWAYS be polite and courteous. Meet their scowl with a smile and cheery “hello” or “thank you”.
Please also remember that although we welcome reactive dogs, we will not tolerate aggression. It is your responsibility to keep your dog under control and to muzzle your dog if necessary.

10 humans with 13 dogs joined our Barkrun this morning. Thank you for coming along.

Thank you to the 8 humans & 11 dogs who joined our Barkrun this morning.
A beautiful day. The Park looks so green & spring-like and the birds were in full song.
No pics of the fast group in action but a few snaps of the steady lot 😉
It was getting a bit too hot for the dogs by the end 🥵 so Barkwalks may return if it keeps getting warmer.

Just the 3 of us (and 5 dogs) for our small but perfectly formed Barkrun this morning.
Not without its drama when several deer decided to run across the track ahead of us = turbo boost activated 🦌🦌🦌🤣
Also much hotter than we were expecting so rest stops for the pups essential. Thank you Rachel Bowling for bringing water on the run ☺️
We will be keeping a close eye on the weather from now as it warms up and will be walking (rather than running) if it’s too warm. Please check the FB page on a Friday to check 🥵🐾🐾.
See you all back at Sandringham next week 😁
