A reminder that we will welcome Premier League and FIFA officials, Lee Betts and Dan Robathan, to the FDC for our April meeting, for a practical session on assistant refereeing (fixture permitting) in just ONE WEEK'S TIME.

Due to both guest speaker and facility availability, this meeting will be held on a different date of Thursday, April 3 (7:30pm).

Sadly Abi Byrne has had to pull out of our March meeting, but we have fortunately been able to secure Dale Brown, Chairman of the Anglian Combination, as a guest speaker, who will join us for a great talk on the league, refereeing and a Q&A!

We will welcome EFL, WSL and FIFA referee Abi Byrne to the FDC in a fortnight's time for our March meeting.

We will welcome well-known Norfolk referee and friend of the branch, Ashley Tyne, to the FDC for our February meeting.

Ash will be giving a great session on the lessons he has taken from grassroots football to the higher levels. Many of you will have seen, worked with and learned from him (and his dad, Andy, for older members!)

This is a brilliant opportunity to learn from one of Norfolk's top referees, so we look forward to seeing you there!

We are all set for our first meeting of 2025, when we will welcome President and Chairman, Simon Barnes, to Norwich RA for an insightful session on his work at one of the county's best-known clubs.

The meeting will take place via Zoom, with the link to be distributed to members beforehand. If you are not a member and would like to attend, get in touch!

We will be hosting our Christmas Quiz at our December meeting. This is a great chance to get together with refereeing colleagues to celebrate your efforts over the past year.

Food will be available, with prizes on offer for the winners. See you there!

Unfortunately, Tim Robinson can no longer join us for our November meeting due to refereeing commitments.

However, we are delighted to say that the Premier League’s most experienced match official, Darren Cann, will be joining us for a Q&A on Monday via Zoom, with the meeting starting at 7:30pm.

We are delighted to confirm our guest speakers for the next two months.

Former National League official Murray Grant will join us on October 21 for a session on conflict management, and will also discuss his PhD research into match officials.

Then on November 18, Premier League referee Tim Robinson will join us at the FDC.

We will be welcoming FIFA and last season's Women's FA Cup Final Assistant Referee, Nicoleta Bria, as our guest speaker for our September meeting.

This meeting is open to all Norfolk RA members and Norfolk County FA referees - we look forward to seeing you at the FDC!

Nic will be delivering a great session on crossovers and reverse crossovers, a key area of assistant refereeing.

We will also be welcoming Norfolk referee, Murray Grant, to the meeting for a brief talk about his research work connected to officiating.
