It felt good to be out and running again After a couple of weeks of frost and running being replaced by spin, I was beginning to get cabin fever. It was the right thing to do though and not risk broken bones with Christmas and a new job just round the corner

Wonderful evening for a run. I felt like I had no energy but I got out of the door, started slow but consistently forwards. I started almost resigned to the fact that I’d soon turn around but with ever km I kept saying to myself, just one more km and I will reassess again. Next thing I know 9km done. Getting out of the door is the hardest part every single time!

Don’t drink and run!
This is my lesson from this week. I have not been made to have two late nights in a row of excessive amounts of alcohol, loud music, dancing the balls of my feet off, 🥶 outdoor cinema and sleepless nights. I’m too old for that. Those two nights are now costing me a week to be able to recover and get back to my sporting activities. Yes they were suuuper fun but once a year is definitely enough for me

Go below adventure last week involved abseiling, traversing, zip wire, boat trip and going between chambers with only a candlelight. I was not sure at first. I knew I was either going to love it or hate it. And guess what - I absolutely loved it!!! We did the standard challenge and I would love to come back for the ultimate challenge next time.
